“Perfect stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014

I stayed here for 11 nights in July 2014, on a half board basis. Everything about the stay was perfect. The staff are all charming, attentive and really look after you, without making a fuss. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, everything you could possibly wish for. We had breakfast in bed on several days, for which there is no extra charge. You just tell them your precise requirements. The half board dinner option was extremely good value, fish and meat options every day. We didn't get the same dishes twice which I thought was good over an 11 day period. The terrace outside where you have dinner and breakfast is under shady trees and overlooks the main square, full of life every evening. In 11 days we didnt see anyone else from the UK. Just French people having a good time. Finally, I observed the hotel is very child friendly - altho we were a child free couple. Of course the island is so beautiful and heaven for hikes and swims, being car free.

Room Tip: 116 has a terrace shared with the room next door and a big bathroom with bath with shower over, and...

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Sainte-Anne in July 2013. The room was lovely and the staff were very helpful. The owner, Sebastien is a charm and made sure our stay was pleasurable.

We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Porquerolles.

Villa Sainte Anne is completely charming and very well located. The team running the hotel provide a personal approach and really seem to care about the wellbeing of their guests - going the extra mile to take care of us where ever they could. The hotel itself is very well located and features the normal services and rooms that are just fine, but the mix of hospitality, location, and the idyllic situation of Porquerolles itself, make this a real winner.

Nice hotel with large rooms - comfortable, air conditioning ecc. Breakfast is great, a buffet with lots of choice on the terrace overlooking the square. Dinner was included in our half board, food is very simple with limited choice but good food. If you want to order from a la carte, you can upgrade at extra cost. Beach towels are provided and the bike hire store around the corner gives a 20% discount for guests at the hotel which is worth taking advantage of. A computer is available as well as wifi and there is a convenient shower to use after a day at the beach after checking out of your room. The island is expensive but I think it is good value compared to the others on offer.

My husband and I stayed at the Villa Sainte Anne for 5 nights but wished we could have stayed longer. We had a standard room (small but with a large bathroom) and were very lucky to have access to a lovely shared terrace (rooms 116 and 117). Lovely breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Place des Armes although the espresso and cappuccino were vile, but that's just France for you! The evening meals are included in the half board, the quality was overall fine although the variety wasn't too great when it came to entrees. The staff are extremely efficient and helpful. They were very quick in replying to emails before our arrival and provided reliable information on our stay (free wifi available in the hotel). I just wish the B&B only option were available to go and sample the food in the many nice restaurants around the square and the port. Make sure you go to the Escale by the port for an evening aperitif, the cocktails are pretty standard but the assiettes (especially l'assiette de mer) are to die for.
