“Selection of delicate international dishes”
Reviewed 6 August 2014 via mobile

Very interesting selection of delicacies from all over the world, including gazpacho, cebiche, sashimi and Greek inspired dishes. A slight tendency to fushion cuisine as with the chick pea paste with pickled mushroom. The dishes are very small so you can take quite a few without getting stuffed, but it gets pricy. Some dishes are good but not creative such as the tuna sashimi, although it is an acomplishment to get Wasabi to this Island. I wonder where they get the baby squids, these are my favourites, but I am always worried whether there is any fish left in the seas after eating these, but I guess the tunas are worse off.

A negative point is that the location is very small and at a very crowdy place next to a little shop. There is hardly any table space and there is likely you have to sit next to each other.

“Wow”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

Whatever the other reviewers are saying is true! What a great restaurant. With so many positive reviews you start to wonder if it's the owner and the relatives writing them, but in this case the high praises are well earned. We went there for breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper, everything! Yes, the waiter can be grumpy and service slow, yes there's very little space, yes it's expensive, but when you taste the food, all those things go out the window and in comes the flavor. What to recommend? everything perhaps? however for me the highlight on the meals was the combination of the calamari with the fish mousse. Wow. My wife also loved the ceviches and some other of the people that went with us loved the orzo thing. We don't regret traveling 7 thousand miles to taste the food here! If you ever find yourself in Platis Gialos, Sifnos, Greece, you MUST come to Omega 3.

“One of the best”

Incredible food in a relaxed yet refined environment right on the beach. Try the white tarama mousse and the orzo pasta with crayfish dishes. Not to be missed!

“Superb exposition of fresh seafood!”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

Each dish is designed to bring out the best qualities of a particular type of seafood, and is duly presented to you as it is ready in no particular order, without all the fanfare there is in oversophisticated fish restaurants that have a tendency to destroy the essence of fresh seafood, which is in essence should be its simplicity.
The owner is a renowned spear fisherman with unrivaled understanding about the sea and its bounty, and with his creation of Omega 3, he has done justice to all that is so great about fresh seafood.
All good seafood is expensive so if cost is an issue then there is a Tsuvlaki take away down the road where a meal will cost 2 euro.

“Fish delicacies by the sea”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

This is not a typical restaurant .Although the food is excellent starting from the sashimi, the tarama mousse, the very original salads and continuing with steamed mussels with feta cheese, delicious " kritharoto" and an exceptional grilled squid served as a work of art!! The chef is to be complimented for his original ideas and the excellent taste of the food.On the other hand the service is not to the same standard. And of course a place where you sit on stools to eat on a wooden plank should not accept reservations .Now if for some reason it decides to accept reservations it should at least respect them! You can't play it both ways....
On the whole it is a nice place, worth visiting as it offers you a different version of seafood cuisine....
