It tends to be hit and miss here. I grew up in the area. Childhood memories of going to Franco's with childhood friends. We talking over 25yrs ago. Loved it then, typical fab chippy.
The last several years, it's pretty hit and miss. Think the menu far to extensive to provide the quality of the food served now. Fish & chips, soggy batter and chips under cooked, went straight in the bin. On another occasion the fish and clearly been re-cooked it was the complete opposite, not crunchy but solid, clearly from unsold earlier in the day. I do know the difference. The rissoles? What's happened, lumps of potato and you needed magnifying glass to find the meat. They still not getting chips right though these days....I do note though it depends on main fryer? It's a busy place which it always has been, but food quality is really not as it used to be sadly. During summer we saw quite few people throwing their food in bin or to the seagulls. You would never have seen that back in the day. Come on Franco's step it up bring the quality back. You Chips were best in Port Talbot previously . If you can't cope, reduce the amount of choice? Good luck anyway
