A very comfortable restaurant on the ground floor with a bar area also available for more casual food offerings. We chose the restaurant for dinner and all enjoyed our meals. We had a fish dish which was cooked perfectly. A gammon and chips meal which again was cooked perfectly and the port loin chops with beautifully creamy mash. Service was attentive and friendly. All in all an enjoyable meal in comfortable surroundings.

We have just had our second tribute night here. The first was a Motown night, which was excellent . The second, Blues Brothers, was less so, but as they were only performing an hour, it wasn't too bad, but I certainly wouldn't waste my money to see them again. Their so called humour was aimed at belittling the audience and coarse jokes. Had I not seen the film they were imitating I would not have connected the two, never having connected Dan Akroyd with a handlebar moustache and a welsh accent.
For the second time we took advantage of the entertainment package. Cabaret, carvery and bed and breakfast which is wonderful value.
Rooms are quiet, spacious and spotless, well appointed with hostess trays and bathroom toiletries. Towels are huge, fluffy and plentiful.
Despite the hotel being situated on a busy roundabout, it is quiet and easy to access with plentiful free parking. security staff are evident everywhere, which is greatly reassuring.
The carvery, which is plentiful, could have been hotter but was delicious and well served by attentive staff, most of whom seem to enjoy their job.
On each occasion we took advantage of this offer, the cabaret was sold out, which is a tribute in itself, with most guests spending the night.
Buffet breakfast, served in the conservatory is well presented and delicious. Eggs are served scrambled, but the staff will prepare any type for you on request. Our party all took advantage of this and were served fried eggs quickly and beautifully cooked. They were a perfect accompaniment to the rest of the Welsh breakfast on offer.
If you feel the need for a venue for a celebration (most tables were birthdays or anniversaries),or just fancy a fun night out, you could do a lot worse than trying this establishment.

This was our first visit to this hotel and hope it will be the first of many. As we travel all around the country for work we stay in lots of hotels and this is one of the nicest that we have found. The room was nice and spacious, about the same size as a premier inn room, but more nicely decorated. The bed was lovely and comfortable. The internet connection was free and very good. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. We also ate in the restaurant which we enjoyed as the food was lovely. The lounge area is also very comfortable with restful, cosy decor. Breakfast was of very good quality with plenty of choice. We arrived here after a long journey and a very busy, stressful day. We left feeling relaxed and refreshed.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel two weeks ago. We went with our daughter and son in law on their recommendation. We booked to stay for one night to watch a "Dirty Dancing" tribute act with an evening meal and breakfast the following morning. We could find nothing to fault with this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Fantastic value for money and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The food was second to none. In fact I struggle to remember a time when I have enjoyed food so much whilst staying at a hotel. We will definitely be going back.

Working in the restaurant industry ourselves, We cannot actually believe this place can call themselves "restaurant". The room was ok, good size bed and nice bathroom. On the 1st night we decided to have dinner in the restaurant. The place looks fresh so we thought it couldn't be bad food. Big mistake here. The fish of the day had a weird taste to it and was soaking in oil. The "sautéed" potatoes tasted like they had been deep fried and the peas were over-over cooked. I was actually feeling sick after the dinner. On the 1st morning we decided to have salmon eggs Benedict. The muffins were soaked with what looked like the water from the egg and we were lucky enough to have half of the carton of hollandaise sauce poured on our breakfast. Second morning we thought we would play it safe by having croissant or pastries. Well none of that was available (neither was it on the 1st morning) and when we came down for breakfast at 9.15, the staff were already packing up (breakfast finishes at 10am). In a few words, it looks like they have invested a lot of money in making the place look classy and clean, when they should have invested in a good chef, and staff that cares in the first place. Will definitely not be back.

We visit this hotel about 4 or 5 times a year as we have local connections. On two previous occasions the check out experience left a lot to be desired. This morning was so different, Jessica was everything a front desk member of staff should be. She was smiling, asked how our stay was and dealt with our departure efficiently. Thank you very much Jessica I hope you go on to bigger and better things as good staff are the best advert any company can have.

Party of 10 booked the Friday Night Package of evening meal, entertainment, room for the night and breakfast next morning. Can not praise the food highly enough - everyone was very pleased with the choice on the menu and were delighted with our meals. Excellent service from attentive and courteous staff. Our rooms were lovely and clean a good size and warm and comfortable.
There was a female vocalist who entertained in the lounge bar and it was packed out- you need to get there early to get a table - we sat in the comfortable setees in the entrance lounge and had our after dinner drinks there. Breakfast was exceptional and plentiful and again the staff could not do enough to make our stay any better. Can not fault them here, they have got things just right. Looking forward to going back again to one of their special entertainment nights soon,
Thank you all at Blancos xxx

Room Tip: We had rooms 3, 11 12a, and 15 on the ground floor all quiet and convenient
