Beautiful house, in a stunning village.
Never felt so relaxed. Stayed in Room 5 for a week. Breakfast is 10/10!
Lis is a delightful host and so accommodating. Can't wait to come back!

Only stayed one night - and at very short notice (ie rang 5 ins before we turned up at the door!). Liz, the owner, was not put out at all and was extremely welcoming and very friendly. We stayed in the ensuite double room, but next time would definitely pay the extra for the huge king room, with its large bathroom. The room we had was fine but the bathroom facilities were a little tight - the shower and toilet were each in separate small areas that have been retro fitted into the room and there is no spare room in them. There is also a separate, very comfortable lounge set aside for guests downstairs - nicely decorated, with interesting reading material and games if you want them. The B&B is extremely centrally located in Maldon, which has a very atractive, historic town centre. Liz gave us a great recommendation for dinner in easy walking distance and the next morning cooked up a feast for breakfast - in addition to the fresh fruit and cereal she had put out for us in a dining area decorated with hand painted murals on the walls - lovely!

Room Tip: Definitely go for the large king room if you can get it!

This was our second visit to The Bell, we loved the first visit so much we had to go back. We received a warm welcome and was made comfortable straight away. We had the same room as before which has a huge bed and is like sleeping on a cloud! Lovely en-suite with large bath/shower and separate toilet with a bidet. Make lots of time for breakfast as its a big one and its gorgeous.

Liz is a welcoming hostess at this conveniently positioned guest house. The comfortable guest lounge was elegantly furnished as was the rest of the accommodation (See photo attached).
We stayed in the 'large double'; the bed was very comfortable, bedding sumptuous, en suite very spacious and the breakfast amazing. We only stayed the one night but wouldn't hesitate to stay again and recommend it to others.
