Just an amazing destination, ideal for scuba diving (the team is great), snorkelling or just relax on the pristine white sand.
The spa is superb too.
Not the place to go if you want to party hard, more like a peaceful sanctuary.

Room Tip: December to April is best time to go

This place is paradise!
We've had the most amazing honeymoon, we stayed in a lagoon villa which was fantastic, the villa was absolutely lovely and our terrace had an amazing view out to sea with views of the sunset every night. The food was absolutely lovely and we found there to be plenty of choice. We got a few extras for being honeymooners, fishing trip, three course BBQ lunch on the beach, cocktails on the beach at sunset, a beach cinema experience. The staff really couldn't do enough for us, all extremely friendly and seem to love their work. Everything about the honeymoon was perfect and would highly recommend a trip here, we'd definitely love to return!!

This was our 8th trip to the maldives but our first to coco palm, arrived at male to be greeted by a rep from the island who,to our surprise took us to a different terminal to what we thought we had booked,we hadn't realized we had booked a domestic flight rather than a seaplane transfer,we were slightly concerned at this point as to what we had done, however we had barely sat down when the young lad took us to a desk checked us in, boarded the plane and fifteen to twenty minutes later arrived at another island, whisked off on a golf buggie type vehicle to the dock ,boarded the speed boat and were off at speed arriving about half an hour later at coco palm.we were taken straight to our room,a beach villa ,no hanging about as we have found at other islands, our bags arrived no more than ten minutes or so after us,all very efficient. Our beach villa was lovely with a short hop to the beach ,lovely soft white powder sand,we were thrilled having read some previous reviews, having been to other islands and read reviews on them we know to take some with a pinch of salt, nothing to worry about at all,yes they are there but they are trying to protect the island from being washed away as we have seen the damage and some of the awful walls ect on others ,this is not an issue at all, in fact i am sure after having had such a wonderful holiday,we would be only too happy to return here again.the staff here work so hard to give you a wonderful experience, look after your every need, always a warm hello from everyone you meet along the way.a special mention to some of the staff who took great care of us,waheed, our room boy, adhyba, the charming hostess, sharriff, our waiter, and rasheed in the bar, apologies for any mispelling,to all the chefs too who work throughout the day. We were all inclusive, which we always do,we find its best for us,we don't drink much alcohol but its nice to know its there if you want it,teas ,coffees ,water or whatever,it can be expensive to buy, everything gets shipped over, found the prices of the trips expensive compared to other islands, but we have done them all before so didn't bother so can't complain really.spent our days snorkeling and chilling out, very relaxing place no hustle or bustle even at meal times, everywhere seemed to be quiet,we often wondered where everyone else was, only saw people at meal times.the day we had to leave our flight left male at 11 pm,we were permitted to stay in our room till about 4pm which was nice alot of checkouts are 12pm .final word to all the doubters, this is the most wonderful place to go, relax and unwind, its hot and sunny and you are on holiday ,don't go to complain about everything and anything its a beautiful place with beautiful people.would we go back?yes in a heart beat

Room Tip: We stayed in beach villa 54 best for snorkeling, easy access to the housereef

We would like to congratulate Coco Palm staff for all their efforts in making every guest feel special and very welcomed. We stayed 11 days April/May split between beach and water villa could not fault either of them, we were on all inclusive stay which for us was worth it, we could have used the other restaurants with a meal credit but didn't feel the need the food at Cowrie was exceptional and not repetitive, in fact we had to request a butter chicken massala before we left as the menu was not repeated during our stay. What ever villa you request or are given will change during the seasons due to tides and weather conditions which they are working hard to combat, sandbags are essential for them to maintain the island for future generations, overlook them if you can they do not take anything away from the experience unless you want it too and are looking for faults.Angel fish travel I don't know if you had anything to do with our upgrade to sunset water villa, it was totally unexpected but thank you very much whoever was behind it.Snorkelling was excellent and we seen everything expected from the Indian Ocean without extreme effort, although the current can be changeable stay in pairs when possible. The Manta trip was an experience, the Spa was superb, transfers from Male were straight forward, weather was changeable but no one to blame for that it didn't stop us from doing what we wanted. No complaints thank you Coco Palm.

Room Tip: All rooms are superb if you don't like what you are given ask to change they are more than happy...

This was our second stop of our honey moon (staying in The Adult only shangri la, in Muscat, Oman first) August 2014.

What can I say amazing arrival by sea plane, greeted by staff on the jetty, shown to our room and explained how everything works. Staff are amazing and very helpful.

The island is totally Eco friendly, staff ferry your luggage in wooden karts which add to the beauty of the island.

Our experience at the Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu resort was magical

The location is a calm, quiet and peaceful paradise, and the resort is clean, comfortable and well maintained

We visited several islands in the Maldives, and found that all throughout the islands, the people are very friendly and helpful. On Coco Dhuni Kolhu resort, the staff were positively the most friendly, happy and enthusiastic of all, and were extremely helpful and skilled at their jobs.

The food at Coco Palm was incredible, with choices ranging from local cuisine, authentic Thai food (we live in Thailand so we appreciate great thai cooking) and other international dining options were always available and impressively prepared.

We stayed in the lagoon villa (stilt houses) and we were blown away by the privacy and beauty of the location and interior layout as well.
It was very spacious, bright and conveniently designed, the huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub was stunningly placed facing outward to the ocean, as was the separate shower, and large walls of the ocean facing side were glass windows, providing a unique panoramic view of the beach coastline and open ocean. Simply breathtaking

It was like something from a dream, and we will be day-dreaming of our experience there until we return, and we will certainly be back!

If you are interested in fishing, the Maldives is a fishermans heaven. I went out on 2 excursions, both extremely affordable and more than a bargain for what you get, and I can honestly say that my 2 hour morning fishing trip was the best 2 hours fishing of my life! Also, whatever fish you catch can be prepared for you as lunch or dinner, at no cost. What an amazing service.

In all, our experience at Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu resort was the vacation of a lifetime, and it's now our go-to location for rest, relaxation and an escape to paradise. I highly recommend it for couples, or any family that wants to experience a laid-back vacation on a quiet island resort.
