My husband and I stayed at Constance Moofushi in May for our honeymoon.

We were really excited after doing a lot of research into our honeymoon trying to select the best possible resort for our needs. We booked with kuoni which we would highly recommend. I have been to the maldives before but my husband hadn't.

The resort lived up to our expectations. It was paradise.

The food was 10/10 quality and variety (asian food was our favourite)- only problem was the quantity and temptation!

Service was 10/10, all staff always had a smile on their face and were happy to help.

We stayed 4 nights in a beach villa and 4 nights in a senior water villa.

Rooms were 9/10 - the beach villa was great, the senior water villa was also great however had a few minor problems which we noticed (both as doctors)... the steps to the water were slippery and the handrail rough and gave me a big splinter which was a shame. These were hazards that did impact on how we enjoyed our time in the water villa as we were cautious after this. The views from the rooms were spectacular.

We found the water the clearest we have ever seen and the snorkelling and house reef were amazing- after snorkelling in other parts of the maldives and other parts of the world.

We were lucky with the weather too and enjoyed kayaking and swimming, the spa and the gym on the one rainy day we had.

There is a great all inclusive package at this resort like no other where drinks are provided everywhere you would need and anything you want is available it seems, we also loved the opportunity to try new wines.

We were offered the opportunity to go be upgraded on our last 2 nights to Constance Halaveli from our senior water villa and although reluctant to leave we did and it was another amazing experience, the resort is completely different - very romantic and worth looking into as depends what you are looking for, but for us Moofushi was our favourite and we would definitely return!

We are just back from a fantastic week at Moofushi. A special 10th wedding anniversary celebration which the hotel made really special with a lovely diiner, great wine, an a surprise in our room.

I know everyone has said it already but the seaplane is just such a great way to arrive. From the moment you land at Male the hotel staff take care of you and the Constance lounge at the seaplane terminal is just what we needed after 12 hours of flying. The veiws from the seaplane are not to be missed.

We stayed in a water villa which overlooked the seaplane jetty - whilst some people say they didnt like this we really enjoyed watching the seaplanes come and go - not something you see every day! and there are not too many of them each day. The villa itself was in a great position with direct access to the lagoon from which we saw turtles, rays, sharks and lots of fish (just snorkelling!). Top tip is not to pack a snorkel as the hotel provide everything you need for your whole stay. The villa was very comfortable but we did have persistent problems with a dripping airconditioning unit above the bathroom area (we reported this 3 times but it was never properly fixed) and also the apple TV kept losing connection midway through a film. There is however a great selection of films and music available. The wifi signal was great and the beds are one of the most comfortable i have slept in.

The beach villas looked really good and it is not a bad choice if you do not want a water villa. The senior water villas are much bigger and also much further away from the Island.

The food was magnificent. I am vegetarian and as soon as the hotel knew this they always made sure I had plenty to eat and often cooked me something to order. The Manta restaurant has a theme every night so you do not get bored. Our favourite nights were mexican and oriental night. The salads are amazing and the dessert counter keeps you going back for more - try the home made ice creams and sorbets. The Manta restaurant has a wine list of over 120 wines so you will always find something to suit your palate. We ate at the Alizee a la carte restaurant twice (one meal here is included in the package) where the food was excellent quality and it had an even better wine list than the Manta restaurant. A special thank you to KD for looking after us so well and to Stephen and his entire team of chefs where nothing was ever too much problem. Rahul and Nash were great sommeliers and remembered what we liked but also encouraged us to try new wines as well.

The bars are brilliant - nearly all drinks are included in the package including cocktails, liquer coffees, prosecco, cava, beer, spirits - try the excellent juice cocktails.

We used the spa for a couple treatmenst and it was super - we had a couples exfoliation and massage and the whole experience was one the most relaxing treatments i've ever had - coupled with the fact that you are looking out over the Indian Ocean. There is also a lovely relaxation area at the end of the spa jetty. It is expensive for treatments but well worth it.

We attended the wine tasting at sea with the sharks which is a good fun evening. Nash the sommelier make it fun and interesting and gets everyone involved.

You can take kayaks or pedalo's round the island which we never did but lots of people seemed to.

This holiday has really set the standard for all future holidays and will be very hard to beat.

Overall this is a very good hotel, and we had a very good experience.
The negative is: Poor service.
We had a temperature problem with the shower water. We complained three times. Three different maintenance persons went to "fix" the problem, and they never fixed it.
One day we asked for a bucket of ice, and we had to ask it three times and it took more tan one hour for us to be able to get some ice!

We were at Constance Moofushi for our honeymoon and we LOVED our stay at this beautiful paradise island! The Staff at Constance Moofushi were amazing and so nice and friendly and helpful all the time. We were greeted right off the bat when we got off our seaplane by the General Manager, Kai, and the staff at Constance and throughout the stay the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was world class luxury service and we did not have to worry about a thing. The food was excellent and the chefs and the servers all tried to get to know us which made us feel very welcomed and provided very personalized service which we very much enjoyed. This was a great all inclusive package, where they had a delicious variety of food and drinks. The view and the water villas were incredible – the clearest water I have ever seen which made scuba diving and snorkeling (right off our water villa) so amazing. We had such a memorable and amazing honeymoon –we are so glad we chose Constance Moofushi! Thank you everyone at Constance Moofushi!

Everything about our week on Moofushi was fantastic...service, food, drinks, beach, pool, sea, snorkelling etc etc etc. We took our 15 month old daughter and the staff couldn't do enough to help us. The only problem we have now is setting our bar so high for all future holidays. Thank you so much to Kai and his team, especially Imran, KD and Gopan, for giving us the holiday of a lifetime. I sincerely hope that we will return to see you all again soon.

Room Tip: Beach Villa was perfect with the little one, not having to worry about her falling into the sea. However, we were also given the opportunity to try out the Senior Water Villa, which was out of this world.
