Went as a family of 5 and had 2 villas next to each other with a private beach. Everything was amazing!! The food choices, the water sports, the snorkeling trip, the cocktail upon our arrival, the outdoor showers. The sunsets/sunrises were magnificent. For New Years they had all kinds of food you can imagine, the party was also amazing. Everyone danced and watched the "2011" burn out above the sea. The a la cart and bar also offer great dishes and drinks. There is also a shop there in case you forgot your sunscreen, swimming costume, beach dress and other necessities.

A beautiful island with the friendliest service staff. After initially been incorrectly put in a beach villa would definately recommend the water villas being worth the extra money - clear views and no creepy crawlies. Our beach villa though unfortunately lost the sun at midday due to the larger than necessary roof. Good snorkelliing and diving (nice friendly staff but felt the diving to be quite expensive especially compared to the other resort we stayed at in maldives) The food was excellant and varied with something for everyone, Majid our waiter was excellant and friendly and extremely attentive to our needs. Guest service staff were not the friendliest or that efficient at resolving our incorrect room allocation. A very nice stay in a friendly almost rustic style resort.

Room Tip: Try and get the east(ish) facing water villas for the more sun.

We went to this resort for our honeymoon. We did 4 nights on the beach villa and 3 nights on the overwater bungalow. That was the best. Both type of accommodation are very different one another and I couldn't say which one I liked the most.

Beach Villa: Amazing villa in the jungle 10 meters away from the beach. It's traditional/colonial decoration just the way we like to make you feel you're on an island. It's independent and you can't see your neighbors even though there are pretty close. It's very quiet, very romantic. There is a nice terrace and the outdoor bathroom is just amazing. A/C and fridge are in the room and you have your own deck chairs that you can take to the beach to relax. The beach is literally 10 meters in front of the villa and is practically private as everyone is at the pool (thing that I just can't understand when you see the blue of the see).

Overwater Bungalow: Just perfect. It's more modern but still typical. They seem to be all next to each other but when you are there you can't really see anybody next to you. Really well done. The walk from the pool to the overwater bungalow is very nice, up above the blue water with fishes and see turtles.

Island: Is very small very intimate. There is a big restaurant and they serve amazing food. It's always buffet with many different things, you will want to eat everything. You will also have your own waiter which is very nice. The staff is great. There is another restaurant with service but we did not try it.
The bar is also nice. We did not book full board so we had a big breakfast then snack at the overwater bar which was just fine. They serve cold and hot sandwiches, pizzas etc...

Pool is very nice, but we preferred to be in the sea when 85% of other clients stayed at the pool.

There are a lot of activities to book (not free) such as jet ski, scuba diving etc... However, there is a free boat trip to go snorkeling every 2 days and this is great. It's leaving from the island and takes you to different snorkeling spots in the middle of the sea. What we saw down there was just unreal. So many fishes, so many colors... it's beautiful and we did the boat trip 3 times.

We also did the dolphin trip which was nice to see dolphins in their real environment. They came to play with us, jumping everywhere. very nice.

At night you can have drinks at the bar. There are happy hours and once per week they do a club night which was pretty fun.

We rate the resort 4/5 because of the seaweed in the water in front of the beach (no seaweed on the overwater bungalow side). It's not a big deal really but it's coming from the pollution. On the nearby tiny islands that you see during any boat trip, you will quickly notice the pollution there with trash everywhere and I think the resort should send a team once in while to keep it clean all small islands around even if they are not responsible. It's a shame to see pollution in such a paradise and nobody move a single finger. If they all do it they could manage to clean this pretty quickly.

Overall, VERY good resort. Best quality/price ratio. Staff is great. Accommodation is great. We didn't want to leave and this trip is always in my mind everyday.

Room Tip: Ask for beach villa away from the restaurant or Overwater bungalow at the very end of the platform.

What a wonderful place to go for celebrating such a special occasion. We were spoilt beyond belief with over water accommodation you can walk into the beautiful water and swim with the fish. We did trips everyday to other resorts and islands, we fished snorkelled and had a fantastic time. Great to have fun and relax.

Maldives is just wow! I'm sure you'll get this expression with any place you stay. We wanted a water villa with a great view and you definitely get it here. Make sure to get the sunset side, that's a must. It's always more expensive for a water villa, but is definitely worth it. Once we landed, which is pretty much flying into Male then taking a Sea plane, pretty cool experience, landing in water. You can't avoid the sea plane cost, there's only 1 company that provides it, Trans Maldivian Airways. Once you book the hotel, they will coordinate with you to sort this out. It's $400 per person for a round trip, it's really ogranized. Once you land in Male airport, you take a shuttle to the sea plane dock, check-in there and just wait for your flight.

As we arrived at the hotel, you're in paradise. We were welcomed by the staff and sat down with a welcome drink. A few minutes later we were given a 1-on-1 orientation where we learned all that we needed to, nice start. Once done, we were off walking from the dock and looking down into the aqua coloured water, we spotted a few tiny baby sharks and a manta ray of some sort along with schools of fishes, really cool.

So let's get down to the ratings. The villa itself was clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was the ants crawling on the dresser, just couldn't get rid of them. It wasn't such an issue as they weren't on the bed and never crawled on you, but were just annoying. The island and resort was amazing, breakfast and dinner was always satisfying. Dinner was great because they had themed nights, so not always the same food. I suggest going with the half board (breakfast + dinner inclusive). For lunch we ate from the menu, prices were really reasonable. Alcohol too was cheap, during promotion time a beer is around $5, out of promotion maybe like $6.50 or so. Pool was nice, but we hardly spent anytime there. We just kept snorkelling around, snorkelling in the ocean (daily free boat ride takes you out there), did some dolphin watching, visited another island and so on. We kept busy which was great, otherwise chilling on the deck or on the beach. Staff were all super friendly and attentive. We booked a dinner on the beach for one of the nights, though the reception did make an error with the date, but whatever it worked out anyway.

Highly recommend this one, keep in mind that there's no reef on the island.

Room Tip: Water villa with a sunset view. Get a villa towards the end so you get some high tide during the low...

This was our first beach holiday and we didn't know what to expect. We couldn't have picked a better resort. The welcome was great (a hot towel and a cold drink!) and the room was amazing (a beach villa). The beach was awesome, just at the end of our villa, and although there was a little seaweed, it was combed up everyday by staff.
We were all inclusive and the drinks that were included were surprisingly all encompassing. The food was fantastic, very good options at each meal sitting. Our server (Mohamed Azumeel) was great too.
The free snorkelling and sunset fishing was superb, well worth the trips on the boat.
We would highly recommend this resort and will be coming back!

Always wanted to visit Maldives it was my dream to stay in water villa on the island surrounded with Indian ocean and with love of my life.
I don't know how but my dream came true one day i woke up with 2 tickets in my hands everything was sorted out and date was for 20th of June 2014. i was so excited and so was my husband.
We used Singaporean airlines from Brisbane Australia to Singapore had few hours in Singapore airport and next was Singapore to Male 4 hours flight. Once we arrived to Male in the evening we had to stay one night in the city in lovely hotel and next morning we took small jet plane to our island. The view from jet plane was amazing crystal clear water from light blue to dark blue colors water with 1000's of small resorts islands and native islands and villages i have been to many islands before but never seen anything like Maldives.
The landing was fun right on top of the water felt much softer comparing to landing on the ground, stop was next to jetty and lovely friendly staff met us with welcoming drinks and all instructions about resort the keys were waiting for us on our personal table over water bar. We were very jet legged and tired and in seconds were taken in gold car with driver. it was so hot and sunny on the island i couldn't wait to go for a swim.
We had 5 nights in water villa and 4 nights in beach villa. The water villa was amazing surrounded with green Indian ocean full of turtles stingrays and baby shacks. i was so excited to go snorkeling. The bathroom in water villa was big and had shower and bath tube with view to the ocean. the bed was big and balcony had swinging chair sun baking beds and table with chairs. it was bit far from restaurants and infinity swimming pool but we didn't mind bit of exercise s and night walks with millions of stars above us.
because of time difference we never missed breakfast and were on time compare to other couples on the islands. Breakfast and dinner were amazing everyday different and my favorite were sashimi fish and sushi with fruits. Service was fast and staff were very friendly.
During our stay on island we did some fun activities like island hoping, fishing, romantic dinner on the beach and wedding photo session. My favorite were fishing and wedding photo session. Hope islands was fun too except it was very hot, but was nice to see the way true Maldivians live on other islands bit of history and school time. Sunset fishing was a lot of fun we went for 30 minutes away from our island to 25 meters deep sea its been a while since i went fishing so i was really out of practice but surprisingly caught 2 reef fishes i was first one out of our team to catch a fish, my husband caught only one fish. we took some pictures and in the evening for dinner had the same fish we caught with onion tomato and garlic was yummy.
our island also had different program every night including crab racing, world cup soccer and traditional dancing, one night we even had disco on the beach.
in order to stay in shape we went to gym and had some sessions with personal trainer from Sri lanka. it takes about half an hour to go from one side of the island to another. the beach on the island has millions of crabs some Chinese tourist boil them and eat them.
the beach villa was fun too was right on the beach and very close to gym and restaurant we were right next to swimming pool on windy side villa 103 the opposite side also good but its crazy hot like sauna so bit of wind was good for us. Water villa was before the last one left line villa 136 so we felt like we were only one out in Indian ocean such a romantic and unique feeling.
during our holiday it didn't rain at all everyday was sunny and perfect we didn't wanna go back home but everything eventually finishes and on our 10th day we had few days in Male city. Male is great for local food and shopping but not for relax very busy city and people can rip you off very easy so if you visit Male don't forget to bargain otherwise it will be crazy expensive.
thank you Medhufushi for having us and we can't wait to be back very soon! Hope my review will help new travelers and you will enjoy it!
