We stayed 5 wonderful nights in a pool villa for our honeymoon!! What can i say from the moment we got there we had one of the most memorable experiences of our lives!!! The food was amazing from the breakfast to the selection of restaurants we loved every bit of this island! We were invited by the hotel manager for cocktails during our stay and we absolutely had a ball, the hotel stuff go above and beyond for you, i cant fault this island at all. Cant wait to come back..

Room Tip: The pool villa worth the extra money!!!

An absolute must for people who want to switch off for couple of days and just indulge in what mother nature has to offer!!
We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights from Nov 1st till 4th, and i can only describe it as the best decision we took for a quick rejuvenating effect.

The beach villa with private pool is everything one could imagine with a stunning view of the sunrise; with a baby tagging along, it was a better choice than the sunset i must admit. everything you could need is available with the standalone bathtub to 3 different showers all with few meters away from the beach…

The food was amazing; In Sands, we pre booked the special secluded table in the middle of the water (a must if you're going to this hotel for sure); Teppaniaki was also amazing with over water view and the possibility to feed the fish (ask for outside table); we are glad not to consider the full board option as these restaurants are not part of the package; The breakfast buffet was good, enough to offer something for every tastebud.

The service was quicker than expected!! we were amazed by the short time the staff took to deliver our every needs, always with a smile on their faces; special thanks to the baby sitters (Olga and Kim) for allowing us to enjoy dinner while our baby is sleeping, as long as all the rest of the staff who happily took photos of us in different places.

My wife tried the Spa and she was very happy with the overall experience…

To be honest, we didn't roam much in the island as the villa offered all the cosiness, relaxation, and indulgence we were looking for

Small hiccups (slow internet service, no kids activities, rain poring on our last day, etc…) but nothing that could ruin these lovely moments we took with us from Velassaru

We would definitely recommend the hotel to our friends and will consider revisiting for sure!!!

Room Tip: We had the 226 Beach Villa with private pool, but from where i could see all other villas are offering the same level of morning sunrise experience

You will really feel alone in the island such a 'Robinson Cruise' effect :) This was like an out door experience which meets my expectations and also can see 5 star standards when you need. foods and staff are excellent. staff are so smart and they are visible when you need them. Otherwise you do not see many people around you. You really feel like Robinson Cruise.

Worse things: 1) Buffet is OK but too expensive. No need half board. B&B is enough. there are few really good restaurants in the island. Foods are excellent 1) Wireless internet is not good enough but do not forget Robinson had not wireless :D You do not need to connect real world at all time. time is going fast. I do lots of snorkeling

I would like to thank to Aslam for his support during our vacation.

This resort cannot be described in words. Its heaven on earth! The water bungalows are located in the sea and all you can see around it ia crystal clear blue waters. Food is excellent and staff are curtis. Although it's very pricey, the experience is worth it!

We stayed at the Velassaru Maldives for 4 nights from 18 - 22 Oct 2013.

The morning wait for the speedboat transfer to the resort was a bit long, almost an hour, at the pier, as they were waiting for the arrival of more guests. I thought that was a negative point for the start of my holiday.

When we arrived at the resort and was shown to our water bungalow, all unhappiness was forgotten as we had a sunset view room (special request thru' our travel agent) and the views were amazing. No blockage whatsoever, it's just a big expanse of sea fronting our room. The small pool in the room was amazing as my husband & myself make it a point to relax there in the evenings just before dinner. We actually just need to walk down a few steps from our bungalow to the sea to enjoy some snorkelling.

The amenities in the room, which had already been posted by other travellers, met our needs. The Nespresso Coffee machine came in handy to enjoy a cuppa while enjoying the sunset each evening. A platter of fruits was provided only on the first day of our stay but we thought it would have been better if it could be refilled each day. Also the turndown service would have been great with some chocolates to end the day. But these were some niceties which we thought would have perfected our experience during our stay. Then again, it would mean extra operating costs for the resort.

The room was cleaned twice daily with towels replaced accordingly. Service staff were very efficient as we had to call in the plumber and the IT Manager on separate occasions to attend to some issues which were handled very promptly and efficiently. Well down !

As we were on a full board package, there was never a hungry moment for us. We tried the seafood buffet on one of the nights (which was not part of our package) and thought it was a bit over-priced, but then, this is the Maldives ! The dinner buffet each night at the main restaurant was an international spread and was adequate but it did get a bit predictable after a night or two. But overall, it was of a pretty high standard. We loved the soups and the desserts the most.

My husband signed up for a dive trip and we had 2 massages at the spa which was pretty relaxing. I had an Indonesian Massage done by Ria and it was really good.

Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and the beautiful turquoise blue sea was really a sight to behold which I believed could not be found anywhere else.

Room Tip: We had water bungalow number 306 which I think offered good views of the wide expanse of the sea.
