To get straight to the point, BOOK THIS HOTEL. Right now, this instant. You will not regret it. I’ll get into the details later on, but all you really need to know at this point is whether or not you should book, and you should. Without a doubt. It was absolutely breathtaking and I’ll try to pinpoint the exact reasons why.
- staff greeted us at the airport and escorted us into the boat, offered drinks during the journey which was refreshing as the heat was intense when we landed. We were greeted by several staff members on our arrival who were all waiting by the port, and were again escorted to the reception area by a hostess and then to our rooms. This set the tone for entire stay where staff ensured that they were available for every and any need we had.
- the grounds I can only liken to that of paradise. It was stunning; white sands, crystal clear water, beautiful palm trees, large infinity pool, and piers extending into the ocean. It was serene, and romantic, feeling like our honeymoon all over again.
- the staff remembered details like it being our anniversary and arranged a surprise candlelit dinner on the beach one evening, and thoughtfully extended our check out time to 7.30pm as we were not leaving the resort until 8pm.
- breakfast was included in our package. It has good options for breakfast, changing slightly each day to offer a variance. I discovered the pineapple and mango muffins on the last day - out of this world!! Overall, the food for lunch and dinner was expensive ($160 for a two course dinner for two, without drinks) but was delicious.
- I noticed in other reviews that visible smoke from another island was mentioned as being seen in the distance. I searched hard one day and found it - a tiny puff of smoke in ten distance that looks very much like a cloud. You hardly notice it!
- the outside bathroom in the bungalow was a nice touch; there’s nothing else quite like it!
- finally I would recommend that everyone take advantage of the free photo shoot and pictures. We did and were left stunned by our great the pictures turned out. I actually cried as he showed them to us, and of course bought them all for a great price!
- the only negative was the dolphin experience. Being that we didn’t see any, which isn’t the issue as it’s never guaranteed but seeing that we paid $130 for it, and it’s an excursion that is done daily, we would have liked to be offered to attend another day given that it was not fully booked on either day.
