We just came back from our 5-day-stay at Kuri Inn and we cannot stop raving about it! Right from the start we felt like being in paradise. The beauty of Omadhoo, the surrounding desert islands and the under water world is overwhelming. Adhunaan and Ishmael met us at the fairy and welcomed us with a coconut drink. The guest house has 4 rooms, perfect for couples as well as for a group of friends. The big rooms are new, with air-con, fan, warm water shower and even insect preventer at the door :-). We booked a package which included daily snorkeling trips to desert islands, all meals and drinks were also inclusive. During our stay, we were the only guests and so we had everything exclusively for us: the desert islands, the hammocks and the tasty food made by the cook Abul! On the way back from our trips, Adhunaan showed us the local style of fishing and we got really big fishes which Abul turned into a good dinner :-) The whole stuff did everything for making our stay unforgettable. On our last day, they even organized spontaneously a small concert after learning that we were interested in local music.
For sure, you can´t compare a local island to a private resort island. Omadhoo is a small village with working people and traditionally dressed women. You ought to respect the customs and government rules: no alcohol, no bikinis, women should cover their shoulders and hips. But it only counts for the local islands and not for the desert ones. Kuri Inn offers daily trips, so there is plenty of time to get tanned. You can also wear bikinis at the guest house. Besides you get the opportunity to learn so much about the Maldivian culture and the life on the island. These experiences you won´t get in any resort “bubble”. Furthermore, holiday on a local island is a good budget alternative to resorts. With the package offer of daily trips you get all inclusive and can save money whereas in a resort you have to pay extra for every trip and have to share the “desert island” with a group. On our trip, we met a full resort boat whereas we had our boat just for us two!
Till now, Kuri Inn is the only guest house on this island but there will be Kuri Inn 2 with 4 more rooms soon. Guests can already use a jetski and a paddleboat. The owner is even planning to enlarge the water sport activities. The stuff also organizes trips for fishing, diving, dolphin and whale watching (for a group of minimum 4 persons) or trips to a resort.

Kuri Inn is a great place to stay. If you want to stay in a local island on the maldives. You can go diving and do island hopping and other activities. The food was fantastic, amazing tuna!!! We had a private staff when we were there, that was pretty awesome. Ishmael and Adanan always drop bye to see if we were okay. Service was great, food was great and diving was great. This made our trip to the maldives very relaxed

I have spent 4 days 3 nights at Kuri Inn for my birthday celebration. This is our first trip to Maldives, everything is new for us, but all are well-planned by online communication with Kamila, from transport arrangement, Male accommodation to Male restaurant recommendation. Kamila even arranged a short Male city tour for us, and recommend best place to get souvenir at Male city.

Kuri Inn is a small guesthouse with only 4 guestrooms, located at local fisherman island. Room are completed with King size bed, air-condition, ceiling fan, attached private bathroom and hot shower. Free WIFI is available to make sure you are connected with friends and family. This is unfair to compare with those luxury 5 star resorts in Maldives, but everything you need is there for you.

We enjoy snorkeling at both Omadhoo Island and desert island, sunrise fishing and BBQ dinner. As we are non-diver, other than above activities mentioned, we spent our leisure time by slowly touring the island on foot. We manage to watch one of the MOST beautiful sunset and sunrise in the world on beach and dhoani.

Thanks Kamila, Mohamed and the team for my birthday celebration arrangement. It is memorable lifetime experience for visiting Maldives by staying with local Maldivians and Kuri Inn.

Located on Omadhoo, this is the only guest house on the island. It is in the middle of the town, not on the beach, but this is a very tranquil quiet town (except for the call to prayer over the loudspeaker 5x a day). Nice, new spotless room with a/c, modern bathroom, lounge area and dining room with a small courtyard. The other guests were snorkelers and we went to 3 small islands every day and once on a whale shark trip (nobody saw whales). Snorkeling was very good. Food adequate but got a little boring as basically same for 6 days.
A big warning - do not go diving with Arif, one of the owners, Not a clue, With just the two of us, he was 20m behind and below me the entire time, never saw him once except briefly on the descent to 25m and on the ascent. The pinnacle we went to had poor coral and the fish were much less than with the snorkeling.
Rate $100/night including food and tea etc, $40/excursion + $10/day for snorkeling stuff. Dive $45 + $20 for equipment.
Staff were very nice and helpful. Lovely little town with no other tourists. Only 8 rooms and everybody there were wonderful people. Had a nice relaxing time at the end of my 7 month trip through Nepal, India and Sri Lanka.

I just came back from my 4 days, 3 nights stay at Kuri Inn (12/3 - 15/3). Well, I have to say it is a different way to experience Maldives. It is not a resort, so it will be unfair if you compare Kuri Inn with those upmarket luxury resort. The guest house is located on a local fishermen island of Omadhoo. You can get close to the locals, talk to them, although they are not particularly friendly. So, a simple "hello" will do. Foods are okay, staffs are friendly especially Abu, the chef. The only down point is that the inn does not have a lot of excursion activities available. Our package includes one free excursion daily, but they can only offer desert island trip and fishing trip everyday. We would like to have dolphin sightseeing trip and photo shooting trip as written on the brochure, but were told they are not available. Thanks to Kamila as she did tried to explain to us. She also helped to organize a half day Male trip. I think her hospitality and helpfulness make our stay in Kuri Inn a nice one! Thanks, Kamila!
