“Paradise for families with small children.”
Reviewed 3 April 2013

Arrived at FSKH after 3 nights at FSLG. I have two children aged 12 and 5. Both places are paradise. They are expensive properties but they worth it. Food and activities you have to pay extra come at a reasonable price. First time didn' t read a book ( a single page actually) on holidays. Enjoyed the snorkelling trips, the scuba diving, tennis and also table tennis. The spa it's excellent. Only think did not enjoy was the grill restaurant at FSKH (the grill restaurant at FSLG was superb, the stuff also!). One advice: don' t drink wine on those properties, the coctails are excellent.

Room Tip: Aim for sunrise room. Little more expensive but you won't regret it.

My husband and I have just returned from 1 night at the FS Kuda Huraa, 3 nights on the Four Seasons Explorer and 5 nights at the FS Landaa Giraavaru ( separate review).

FS Kudaa Huraa is beautifully laid out, , on the theme of a traditional Maldivian village. We stayed in a lovely sunrise water bungalow : it was spacious and had stylish rooms, gorgeous bathrooms and a very nice outdoor shower. The staff were very friendly and attentive and we were very happy with our short stay at FSKH!

Well,.... what to say about FS Explorer… Utterly faultless and brilliantly-managed, it delivers way above and beyond expectations. From the amazing food and superb service to jaw-dropping diving and snorkeling , FS Explorer is a truly exceptional experience... it will live a very, very long time in our memory.

Many thanks to Cruise Director Areef (such a wonderful person!) and every single person on his staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome

As we only completed our Open water certification course at FS Landaa Giraavaru, we only snorkelled at the Explorer. Due to the fantastic visibility, we could spot pretty much everything a diver would, but I would suggest getting your certification before to going to the Explorer..

Explorer is a Must for anyone coming to the Maldives, and I thank you for writing about it. I look forward to sharing your comments with Areef as he has been a STAR on our ship since he took the role of Cruise Director 9 months ago!

We look forward to your return and thank you for doing the true Maldivian experience of visiting our 3 properties we offer.

After two times at Landaa Giraavaru, we decided to go to Kudaa Huraa: to change and also because, travelling with a 2.5 years old boy, we were happy to jump on the speed boat right after the night flight instead of having to wait for the sea plane. We were a bit concerned about the proximity of that resort with the airport but in the end, you can hear only one or two planes per day so totally acceptable.
We were on a water villa. There is a strong current under these ones so do not expect to see many many fishes but it is lovely and we saw baby blue spotted sting rays, a big sting ray, titan trigger fishes, picasso and other nice fishes.
The villa was very nice and the housekeeping, and generally speaking the staff, as always with Four Seasons, was very helpful, well-wishing and very kind.
The restaurants are very good. We really liked the indian restaurant and the Reef bar: amazing spot, once again very kind and patient staff (especially with a 2.5 yrs old boy).
The kids club is very good. The young lady in charge of it, Mas, is very experienced and great with children. The nannies were very nice as well and it enabled us to really enjoy our morning dives while our toddler was at the kids club.
Dives were nice, we saw many turtles, sting rays, one octopus. No micro in the Maldives. Divemasters (especially Angela and Nihad) were great, very professionnal and friendly, we had a very nice time diving with them.
We had an overall wonderful stay and would definitly recommend it. For a more design experience and for non-divers, Landa Giraavaru is maybe better.

Without doubt, the best service we have experienced at any hotel anywhere in the world. The attention to detail is simply extraordinary. This is the fifth island we have stayed at in The Maldives and including Reethi Rah, Landau Giravaaru, Baros and Kanuhura and this is without doubt the best.

We have always known that service is what has defined Four Seasons and can't thank you enough for the kind comments. Hearing that you have been to 5 other Resorts makes your remarks all that more meaningful for our Team.

We look forward to your 6th trip to the Maldives!

Stayed there last September with my wife and it was an amazing experience. The hotel staff is beyond nice, the bungalow was just incredible...all of it…..the view……beach…bed…food…the spa….it’s not a cheap place to go but without a doubt worth every last penny. If money is not a problem or you want you give yourself a little treat definitely try this hotel.

I can't even give this resort justice! Excellent service, professional staff, fabulous food and amenities. Our Maldives experience was only perfect because of four seasons at Kuda Hurra. We stayed in March for four nights. The weather was great with clear waters (paradise for snorkelling). The beach is white silky and warm waters. We stayed in a sunrise bungalow in 206, convenient location to major pool and restaurants, kids club, etc. and then we relocated to 127 on the sunset side which was also nice. All accommodation types are steps away from the beach. The way the resort caters to families with young children is unparalleled. Our 3 year old and 6-month old travelled with us and it was so convenient. We even had a bottle warmer, a changing table, a set of nappies, baby shower essentials, and toys in our room. Children's goggles and snorkels were also available at the Dive Center. All equipment for adults and children are complimentary. Food for children under 5 is for free and the kids pool has cute little sun beds just by the main pool. You can never ask for too much at Kuda Hurra.. They really go out of their way to help (with a smile). We can't wait to be back! We just loved loved this place.

I stayed here with my wife and twin 3 year old girls for 10 days in Feb/March 2013, preceded by 4 days in Dubai. I only wish we'd spent the whole two weeks on Kuda Huraa. EVERYTHING about the resort was outstanding. The beach villa we stayed in was impeccable, beautifully furnished, right on the beach and while near to the northern end of the resort and the main pool, restaurants and kids club was wonderfully peaceful day and night. We chose this resort as it was supposed to be child friendly and we were not disappointed, our kids were treated like royalty, their choice and quality of food was as good as the adult menu and they were never bored for a second. While they only visited the kids club on the last two days they absolutely loved it and 'Big Mama' who runs the club is just a wonderful woman and a real asset for Four Seasons. Also worth noting are the guys at Tropicsurf who are based on the Island, I went on several surf trips with them and these are great people as well as professional and knowledgeable guides. The staff at the resort are caring, courteous and professional. A big thank you to Kishi for his patience and wonderful nature when dealing with what ended up being a fairly minor room issue. We will definitely go back, our only worry was that after those 10 days any other holiday will be a disappointment.

Room Tip: Families would be better on the nothern end, near to the kids pool, main pool, most restaurant and a...
