“Wonderful ”
Reviewed 13 December 2017 for a stay in August 2017

A wonderful cottage in everyway. We stayed for 2 weeks with our 3 little dogs and would highly recommend it. A great location for Exmoor and surrounding areas like North Devon.

The cottage itself has everything you require. First class.

“Pet friendly beautiful cottage”
Reviewed 29 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Excellent location for Dunster and surrounding area. This is one of the nicest, well equiped cottages we have spent a holiday in. Only downsjde was that the village pub was closed while being refurbished. Excellent for Exmoor and many beaches. Dogs welcome. Great garden.

“Second visit - great place and just so relaxing”
Reviewed 2 November 2016 for a stay in October 2016

This was our second visit to Brook House; we loved it so much the first time. It remains just as relaxing, comfortable and homely as it was on our first visit and is such a great location for exploring the area. We've been lucky to stay in various cottages across the UK and this is certainly up with the best. In fact, our five year old loved it so much he wanted to move in!

Close proximity to Dunster and Minehead mean that it's easy to get to local restaurants and supermarkets, and ease of access to Exmoor and the Quantocks means there is no shortage of great walking and scenery.

Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay and comes thoroughly recommended.

“A charming and cosy barn conversion, convenient location”

Brook barn provided almost everything we needed to make a great holiday the only thing missing was wifi - though with hindsight perhaps a week not glued to the ipad is not such a bad thing!
Great location for exploring West Somerset and North Devon and the nearby village of Dunster is just lovely. Local pub, the Lion Inn, very friendly and nice to have a beer or two within walking distance after exploring or completing a challenging hike.
We would happily recommend to friends and family.

“cosy cottage great location for exploring the coast and exmoor”

We only stayed for a couple of days during which the weather was dreadful so were grateful for a cosy base. The cottage is clean and well equipped and the beds comfortable. We were made to feel welcome with bottle of wine in the fridge, milk, coffee etc. It's good to find somewhere that our dogs are welcome too. Nice that the little things like washing up liquid, loo rolls are provided as when you only go for a couple of days the last thing you want to do is shop for supplies. Only disappointment was that the pub that was so highly recommended in previous reviews wasn't doing food during our stay so don't count on wandering up the lane for a bite to eat.

This is our fifth visit to Brook House in Timberscombe and it never fails to impress. The Lion Pub is very good for atmosphere and food .The village it's self has many good walks around the surrounding countryside. There are many fab places to visit and can recommend Dumpster . The cottage has everything the traveller would need and the owner Alan is only a phone call away . We are returning again in November 2014 cannot wait .
