Gorgeous view of the hood canal, especially those awesome sunrises over the misty water...all ruin by the incessant noise of traffic zooming back and forth behind us as this site is literally backed up against hwy101.

Staying in the "motel" insulated the noise level much better than the "cabins". Both are much nicer looking inside than what you'd imagine looking from the outside. All facilities are new looking and very clean. Staff as well as fellow RV-ers are friendly.

We were pleased with our stay (switched to motel half way as the cabin was already booked for the night we wanted)

If not for the need of a full kitchen, we'd much rather stay in the motel unit.

We stayed in one of the cabins for 2 days and really enjoyed the visit. The cabin was clean (except for a few spots on the carpet), well stocked with cups, plates, cutlery, etc, and the air conditioning was a welcomed relief. The view was fantastic and very close to the beach. Being situated right next to highway 101 you couldn't open your windows because of all the traffic noise. Overall we had a great time and would return to this resort in the future.

If the sound of the highway doesn't bother you, this is a perfect campground. I don't mind it, so we had a happy stay. Clean, private bathrooms...what a treat for a long distance pop up camper! And you are literally right on the water with grills, clams for digging up - all great!

We took our RV on a small trip along the Hood Canal and chose this as a place from which to explore. Our RV spot was 60 feet from the water. Wonderful view. The management was friendly and accommodating (helped my husband with the internet access). The spaces are close together, but that is what we expected. Easy to pull into spaces. No problem with hookups. There is some noise from 101, but that soon just became background noise. We would definitely come back.

My company booked me here at Waterfront at Potlatch for a business assignment. That was not a good choice because there is no desk to work on nor was there reliable internet. There was no access to a facility office for most of the week and you had to try and "catch" the manager when you could if you needed something. Housekeeping had its ups and downs. Now, as far as a beautiful and peaceful view from my deck, that could not be any better. Lots of road traffic to get used to as the hotel is about 35 feet from the highway. Not a good place for work, but I think it would be nice for camping and vacationing.

I have stayed in the RV park and my parents stayed in the cabins. This is by far the best RV park I have stayed in. The spots have unobstructed views of the water. Plus, they have all the amenities you can ask for. The cabins are very clean and roomy. I have never seen such clean rooms. The Resort has barbecue's that you can use as well as a common room. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. This is an excellent choice if you want to stay on the Hood Canal and be close to Hoodsport and Lake Cushman.

Spent a few days looking for a nice hotel on the waterfront as a base to explore the south end of Hood Canal. Found the Waterfront and chose it based on the the reviews and photos on their website that appeared to have a great view of the water, which we wanted. We booked the King Suite based on the description of waterfront as well as the photo showing water off the deck. When we arrived, surprised that half the view was blocked by RVs. Manager was very accommodating and willing to move us to a cabin for the 2 nights, but it's view was even worse, plus bed was too close to HWY 101. Ended up back in the original room. Room was very clean and bed comfortable, some noise from the traffic on Hwy 101. Deck would have been a lot nicer to sit on if we didn't have the RVs right in front. The RV parked right in front was worse as they ran their AC all night and day, so quite irritating.

Restaurants and stores are a couple of miles away in Hoodsport and access to Lake Cushman a short drive. Beach was nice, although it is mostly barnacle covered rocks with the south edge the discharge river from the powerplant. Very clear and clean. Overall a good value for the price with nice management, but wouldn't stay here again myself.

I'm sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the view from your room. All of our rooms have a view. The best views are upstairs in the main building. Rooms 23 - 26. Our beach is a shellfish beach covered with oysters and clams. Many of our guests enjoy harvesting the shell fish and cooking it fresh right here using our gas grills and boiling pots. If you are looking for a "sandy beach", I suggest the coast. Hood Canal is all about seafood and shellfish harvesting. :-)
