We spent six nights at Naladhu for our honeymoon this November and there was not one moment of disappointment. From the moment we got off the boat until the moment we left, Andrea and his team created the perfect atmosphere of luxury, relaxation, and romance. From the exquisite villa to the spectacular dinners at The Living Room and the incomparable service, it was simply the best.

Specific distinction must go to Bibin, our house manager, who left no stone unturned while accommodating any request or question we had and provided us with better service than we could have ever imagined. His kindness and patience with us was greatly appreciated.

Jalal, the wine guru, provided us with two great wine tastings in the beautiful wine cellar at The Living Room. His knowledge and conversations provided us with two perfect evenings.

We have no complaints and cannot imagine how anybody could. I recommend Naladhu to anyone who has the opportunity to visit.

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at Naladhu, and we are already planning our next visit!

Andrea and his team (Jess, Ali, Jayesh and Ashraf, to name a few) where exceptional and made us feel truly special with their attention to detail and personalised service.

The Beach Houses are amazing, with every facility you could wish for,; from the daily paper delivered on your own iPad to the extremely impressive wine cellar. Outside the house was our own private infinity pool, and expansive terrace with day beds, this offered us total privacy and seclusion, whilst having direct access to the beautiful beach.

Our biggest surprise was the quality of the food at the Living Room restaurant, from the extensive A la Carte breakfast menu with homemade pastries, to gorgeous dinners on the beach with Octopus risotto and Maldivian Tuna curry, every single meal we had was fantastic!.On our last evening the staff set up a beautiful dinner table for us on the beach, with some lovely touches, we didn't expect this and certainly appreciated the effort, thank you!

If you are looking for a small, secluded, unique, luxurious resort with the service levels as good as they get, then Naladhu is the one!

We wil be back soon!

We just came back after having the best 10 wonderful days in Maldives. Our time was divided between Nalahdu and Niyama resort. Both resorts exceeded our highest expectations. They were both truly unbelievable, a magical place to getaway from everyday busy chaotic lifestyle. Wish I was there now!

NALADHU
From the moment we stepped ashore, we were greeted with drums and welcoming smiling faces of the staff. Bibin our allocated housemaster was there to meet us and take us to our room.

ROOMS
We were allocated a beach villa. Bibin our house master escorted us to our villa and explained everything to us. We could not believe our eyes when we walked through the door. This was a little mini house and was simply stunning and of the highest quality. The design of the room was very unique and spacious with every detail thought out. The room was immaculate with a huge king size bed, plasma tv and a Bose surround sound system with ipod attached. Relaxing music playing in the background. An ipad was also available for those who cannot live without the internet. There were plenty of books in the room to read. We had a choice of an outside waterfall shower or an inside bathroom. The villa came with our own private swimming pool and sauna room. The L’Occitane toiletries were a real treat. Everything you can probably need or think of using is readily available at your disposal in your room e.g. beach hat, beach bag, umbrellas, flashlight, international adaptor, binoculars and life jackets. There was a Lavazza expresso coffee machine and high quality tea selection provided. My husband loved the swinging day bed outside on the deck overlooking the beach, a place to lounge, read or nap

SERVICE
We cannot thank Bibin (our housemaster) enough for making our stay very special. He provided us with a mobile phone to reach him at any time 24 hours. He was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that we all had a great time. He was simply superb and he genuinely pampered us in every way. We came back to our room on our last night to find tea light candles litting up all around the bed, rose petals was arranged on the bed forming a heart shape. More candles led us to the bath tub which was filled with nice perfumed bath foam and more rose petals. Wow. This was heaven.
All staff at the resort was friendly and always greeted you with a smile and they cannot do enough for you from the managers to the cleaners. Our room was serviced twice daily and the cleanliness was impeccable. Fridge was restocked. Each day we get a fresh complimentary fruit basket and also in the late afternoon our housemaster will bring us a refreshing drink and some free canapés. He arranged a private massage for me on our private deck.

FOOD.
We tried all the restaurants available. The cuisine was excellent. The living room on Naladhu for breakfast, 73 degrees on Veli for their Maldivian night buffet and Fudan on Dighu but the best food we had was at the Thai restaurant (Baan Huraa). We also had the opportunity to do a Thai cooking class (4 courses) which we enjoyed very much and learnt a lot. At the end of the cooking class we were presented with a certificate.

OVERALL
Naladhu is a small island but connected to two other resorts Veli and Dhigu and therefore people staying at Naladhu are free to roam around and enjoyed it all. Naladhu appears more quiet compared to the other two. It is the perfect retreat to chill out and relax. It is perfect in its seclusion and isolation, there is that strong feeling of being basically you are the only people on the island. If you are one of those looking for a relaxing, peaceful break in beautiful surroundings where every attention to details taken care of and being pampered like royalty then this is the perfect holiday place for you. Without a doubt I cannot recommend this resort highly enough. The service is what really raises the standard above all competition. I am looking forward to my next visit.

We chose Maldives for our honeymoon, because of its ever-nice weather and over-water bungalows, so our initial choice was Anantara Veli. After a small complaint on our side, Carla and Anantara team had a very nice gesture of moving us to Naladhu. We were hesitant at first because we did not know about the facility and lack of overwater-bungalows.
But what a surprise!!! Naladhu is like a dream come true, one really has to think hard on any improvement areas. You have a 300m2 house to yourself with your very own swimming pool, a housemaster (a perfect butler), a choice of shower&baths, even a Bose surround sound system. There are 13 ocean houses and 6 beach houses. Beach houses look over the inner lake of the reefs. We stayed at a ocean house which looks over the ocean side of the island. The sound of waves on the ocean side can be very loud. The only improvement area I can think of is this; the windows/outer doors could have better isolation, so anyone not happy with loud waves might sleep in peace. If you are a light sleeper, you might want to choose the beach houses which do not have a view, but have immediate access to beach.
Not used to such luxury, we probably did not facilitate our housemaster Bibin that much, but he definitely deserves credit. He was very kind and really tried to make our experience even better. For instance, after 2h of snorkeling, we get back to our house and find out a bath full of hot water covered with foam and flowers.
The restaurant in Naladhu is very good as well, do not hesitate to go for their signature dishes and seafood. But definitely try the Fusion and Thai restaurants situated at neighboring Anantara hotels.
And you should definitely try snorkeling or scuba diving! Spa was too expensive for our taste, so we skipped that.
Verdict: This is probably the best hotel I ever stayed in.

Room Tip: The only distinction is beach vs ocean house. If you want to enjoy a magnificent ocean&sunrise view and experience the tide than go for ocean house. If you are a light sleeper, go for a beach house. Otherwise all rooms should have the same perfect facilities.

What an amazingly tranquil, pampered and re-invigorating week. A wonderfully appointed Ocean House. One of just 19 properties on the island. Wakening to the sight and sound of the waves breaking, immediately outside our bedroom. Days spent languorously in the sun. A House Master looking after us and arranging whatever we needed. Food and wine excellent, although the latter somewhat expensive after the addition of duties. This was a week where we were genuinely pampered on an exclusive island. Hard to think of ways to improve the experience!
