We last ate at this restaurant on October 19 2019 at lunch-time. The proprietor and his staff take infinite care with the food they offer and have very high standards. Antikristo is a means of cooking meat but on this occasion we ate vegetarian and had a superb meal. Our meal was
Village aubergine salad. These days aubergines are simply blitzed in a blender. Not here: this was made in the true traditional manner with a pestle and mortar and all the better for it. Then some cabbage leaves stuffed with a deliciously complex filling. Then roasted briam vegetables with, at our request, graviera cheese melted on top. And Boureki, the great Cretan vegetarian dish, made in this instance with home-made filo pastry. Our sweet was yoghurt with delicious spoon fruits on top. It was a truly excellent meal.
Sadly, we are now back in England but all being well we plan to eat at this restaurant again next May.
