“Five star eurocamp week for us”
Reviewed 19 August 2014 via mobile

Spent a week here in july. Weather great no rain. Whole campsite just suited us. No sun lounger s round pool great. Good restaurants beach close. Could see the trains from the decking but that didn't bother us. yes the kitten s pulled towels down into the dirt. But hey all was right with the world and the Sun was out. My pet hate is wearing things round my wrist but I survived the week and the obligatory band moved enough not to leave a tan line.

Stayed here in late May this year, lovely park. We've done few of these around spain and Portugal but this was definitely the best one. Lovely big green area around 2 large swimming pools was the main focal point of our holiday, it was very clean and really well kept. The 6 slides into the pool kept the 3 children (and us) entertained for a large part of the week and when we fancied a change of scenery, the park is literally on a nice sandy long stretch of beach! Snack bar at the pool was well stocked and reasonably priced.

Facilities on park were as good as I've seen anywhere and it seemed to have everything included. There was a decent games room, cinema, a good sized supermarket and gift shop, really lovely bakery and they ran various activities in the day like zumba and stuff for the kids.

The restaurant was very well kept and a nice place to eat every night, and the menu, although not the largest was full of nice choices that suited us. For once I felt like the food prices there were very reasonable and you didn't pay too much for anything (this includes the supermarket) and the feel was you were being looked after not ripped off. Loads of easy things for kids like large pizzas for about 5 euros and the ice cream choice was plentiful and cheap. We would have our dinner inside for about 30 euros for a family of 5 and then stroll along the beach or round the grounds with an ice cream each for less than 7.50 euros!

We hired bikes on the park and had a little ride out as a family which was nice and although the road is fast, the cycle lane is very wide and you feel safe. A good tip is to hire the bike for an hour for 5 euros at 1115am then they close for 2 hours at 12 so you get those 2 hours free ;) it all helps! Of course some people hire for the duration of their holiday and use them round camp.

Caravans were nice and clean and the staff very helpful and welcoming, very easy to find from Reus airport (via Ryanair) I would go back here for sure, loved it.

P.s we were about 75 yards from the railway line but didn't hear it once at night and actually found it quite a spectacle during the day watching the various cargos go through

We stayed on this campsite for two weeks in late June/early July. We travelled with aerlingus to Barcelona airport and paid €350 for a return fare in a taxi, expensive I know, but still cheaper than flying into Reus with Ryanair !!! Check in was very painless, and our accommodation was adequate, a three bed mobile home with eurocamp. I would definitely recommend booking a central pitch if possible as they are much quieter.
The trains do pass through the site regularly but we didn't notice them after the first day, again the benefit of a central pitch. This site is absolutely beautiful and spotless, staff were friendly and there were shower blocks and toilets at every corner. These were constantly being cleaned. The restaurants on site were fine but Friends beach restaurant was fantastic. The spare ribs are to die for !
We had a brilliant holiday although there didn't seem to be much to do for teenagers at that time. All entertainment was dominated by the World Cup which at least kept hubby happy so maybe this is not the case every year. I do think that 10.30pm is very late for entertainment to start, especially if you have young children.
The beach is beautiful but can be a bit rocky in places and the pool complex is excellent with lots of slides for the younger children . I liked the fact that there were no sunbeds around the pool and people just lay on towels or blankets. It meant that you could wander over at any time of the day and still get a space.
The on site supermarket was well stocked and reasonably priced and the patisserie was great. Most people had cars and ventured further afield for their shopping. The campsite is not within walking distance of any towns but taxis were easily ordered from reception.
All in all a fantastic holiday and we have already booked for next year!

Don't pay attention to the negative reviews! This is an amazing place to stay!
Yes you can hear the trains - but everything else is perfect! Immaculately kept site and shower blocks! Lovely staff! Well priced restaurants! A beautiful pool complex! Fun shows and an in redid beach just a few minutes walk away!
The main and Eurocamp staff were great! The location is perfect for day trips - we loved Tarragona, Cambrils and especially Peurto Ventura.
Our three teenage daughters loved the site and €15 is a small price for their WiFi!
Ignore the moaners and enjoy this fantastic resort!

I have just returned from 6 days on this camp, I stayed with two friends and our kids so 3 mums and 3 boys aged 7, 11, and 13, and it was great, the camp had something for everyone, kids of all ages, my 13 yr old enjoyed the loft which had FIFA tournaments and pool tables large squishy sofas with a recent film most evenings, lovely pool area, long sandy beach that was cleaned every evening, great supermarket, the bars and restaurants on site are good, not overly expensive there are a few along the beach where the kids can play football on the sand while you watch from the decking.
Everywhere is spotless there are shower blocks on every corner, 2 launderettes, loads of sports.bike rental, which we did for our boys on day 2 for the rest of the stay and is well worth it as there's loads of space and they could have freedom! We stayed in a euro camp 3 bed mobile home which was fine, the bed rooms were a little small and the kitchen too small for anyone big into cooking ! We ate out every night and just had lunch and breakfast on our deck, there's kayaking, downhill cycling, and tracking in the nearby mountains, on camp football tournaments every evening for kids and over 18s which had a very good turnout of men in full kit!
The only negative was from my 13 yr old who said there weren't enough English kids it's mostly Dutch, but to be honest as he had his other two mates with him he maybe wasn't looking hard enough, we are definitely going back next year and for longer.
if your on a budget Rose from the super market 2 euros was lovely ! Plus you may want to
Bring a few bits from home, tea towel, dish cloth, Washing up liquid, salt and pepper, toilet roll, tea and coffee. The train that runs through the resort didn't bother us at all it's only a few times a day, we were 2 rows back from it. Not sure I would be happy to be on the row opersite the track which has a high fence, we were told by the rep it's still not a problem.
This is 5star camping !!!

We just returned from Playa Montroig and we had a lovely time. Kids (4 and 6) were busy all day and have said it was the best holiday ever - special thanks to Monica from the kids' club who was just amazing. She's worth her weight in gold. The mobile home was very clean although there was a urine smell in the toilet. We were able to fix this with some bleach and elbow grease ourselves but it wasn't so nice to arrive to that smell and to have to clean it ourselves! The public showers were absolutely spotless and facilities like laundry, bins etc were great and never too far away. However the toilets at the pool were really dirty - constantly wet (a hazard for racing children and the elderly) and smelly floors and I never once saw them being cleaned. If they could be kept as clean as the rest of the park, it would be great. Other gripes include only two choices of restaurant - the Grill is good but the other is mediocre at best. The WiFi costs EUR15 for 7 days and that is a total rip off, given that the speed is terrible and it times out after 5 minutes of inactivity. I complained and was told to use it late at night or early in the morning when fewer people are on it. Not a great response given that I was paying for it!
But apart from the easily rectified faults above ie. urine smell in our mobile home toilet, poor and expensive WiFi, poor alternative restaurant to the Grill and the stinky pool toilets, the place is great and I would recommend it. Oh, and if you are not between the ages of 14 and 18 then do not go to the disco as you will feel very old. Bit of a shame since it is meant to be an "adult" disco.
