“Very nice beach, shadowy sites, grumpy staff”
Reviewed 2 August 2013 via mobile

Spend 2 week in a le grand comfort mobilhome by select camp. The location of the mobilhome was very nice, close to the ocean and with both sun and shadow at any time of the day. The mobilhome itself was compared to the high price way too worn and crappy with low quality beds. Perfect beach and water, but extremely boring pool ... No kind of playing allowed not even with a bathing-ball... The crew attending the pool were very keen on blowing their whistles!! To many restrictions on the fitness - had to be 18 to be let in. The staff of the site ( not selectcamp-staff) very quite grumpy ..... One of my teenage sons asked "why do they choose to work in a place like this when they seem to dislike it this much!". Grocery shop ok priced and quite well assorted, but would be hard to do without a car at this site. Nearby cambrils ia a very nice town.

Really great campsite. Beatiful with lots of palm trees and shade for the sun. Many good activities for all ages, and planned in a way where nobody gets disturbed. The disco for the teenagers is located far away from everything else, for example. Music on the site stops early enough to allow for a good sleep and the campsite is surprisingly quiet at night (no music and noise allowed after midnight). pool area is good but very crowded. Water in the pool not too clean. The only really big downside was the seawater. The beach is nice but the sea was quite dirty - not sure if it was algae or sewage but it was not nice to bath in. They cleaned it up so that it was OK every morning but the dirt came back during the day.

We are just back from 2 weeks at this great campsite. Stayed with Keycamp and they have a fantastic location, the mobiles are well spread out and the couriers were fantastic. We are family of four with 2 daughters of 11 and 13. They spent most of the time in the fantastic pool complex but also did zumba, aquaerobics mini golf etc. There was plenty of evening entertainment. Beach bar had live bands 3 evenings which we all enjoyed. The theatre had magic shows, acrobatics and other shows about twice a week and had movies other nights. Another terrace bar had music and games but more for the younger kids. And then there was a pub with more entertainment. Restaurant at the pool bar was really lovely and very cheap and was open late. It was a real suntrap there . Takeaways excellent too. Supermarket well enough stocked but there was a Lidl in Cambrils and other supermarkets in Miami Platya just 5 mins away. But in general very cheap to eat and drink.
The campsite was immaculately kept and and our mobile was spotless as was the surrounding grounds.
You do however need a car.And there is no promenade along the beach that you could go for a walk. You can hire bikes but you out on a main road! We went to Aquapolis waterpark which was great but a bit pricey.
Overall a great holiday and would definitely go back. We were in La Sirene last year in France
and it wasnt a patch on La Torre del Sol. Didnt like it at all.

Room Tip: .Keycamp have a great location and I would book with them. Plenty of space and about 8 mins walk to...

Booked with Eurocamp to stay at Park Playa Bara and had issues with the campsite owner refusing to let us stay there as two 18 year old couples. After many phonecalls with Eurocamp we were offered to stay at La Torre Del Sol with Keycamp. We were unsure what to expect upon arrival as we hadn't had much chance to research the site, but we were very pleasantly surprised.
On arrival the receptionists were helpful and gave us regular bus times for the area and the Keycamp representatives were so friendly and made it very clear that if we had any questions we were more than welcome to ask.
The site has a lovely beach that is clean and has a beach bar that serves fast food. The pool is large, however more sun beds on busy days would have been nice as we found ourselves sitting on the floor.
Although we did not stay at the site during the school holidays so it wasn't initially busy at the beginning of our holiday it was the weekend of the Sant Joan festival which meant that the park became extremely busy. This wasn't a problem except for space at the pool area and large amounts of noise at night time. The "Rah" nightclub was open for the festival and there was a party with fireworks and free sangria which was touristy but still good fun.
The bus into Reus was very convenient, cost around 5 Euros each and was around a half an hour trip. However, always get to the bus stop about ten minutes earlier then you are told to so you don't miss the bus.
I thought the restaurant and takeaway were slightly overpriced but served nice food nevertheless.
Supermarket was definitely overpriced and if possible you should ask your rep to take you or get a taxi to the Lidl in Cambrills which is so much cheaper to shop at.
Overall a great holiday for two 18 year old couples or a first holiday as the site is safe and all necessities are close by. Would definitely book with Keycamp again, not Eurocamp.

we spent three nights here at E29 per night in a well equipped tent. The Vacancsoleil team were great, the tent was clean and well prepared. Even the weather was kind - one GREAT tip is to eat across the road ( off-site) in a local restaurant there. Lovely food - better than on-site!

We arrived and were allocated a pitch that did not have water or electric we went back to reception to complain and were told that was all they had available. We showed our caravan club booking that showed we had asked for and paid for a fully serviced pitch we were then given another pitch and told that we could go to any around this if they were empty. The pitch allocated had a low tree that stopped our motorhome from fitting so we did what we were told and found an empty pitch near by that we were able to fit. My wife went back and told the office and was told that we could not stay there as a family was arriving on the 18th and had booked this pitch. After some discussion some of which was heated we were told that we would need to speak to the manager at 14.00. The next day we did this and were told that it was the caravan clubs fault as they did not phone through the booking to check if they had an available pitch. We have never had any problems booking with the club in the past and feel that this was there excuse for there incompetence. Also, there was another English couple having the same problem as us in the office. We came to an agreement with the manager but after one night were we did not sleep as people were talking very late into the night well past midnight we were both unhappy as we were cramped in with other caravans and motor homes, the site showed no interest to any of this. I would say that unless you like to be penned up in a battery hen this is not a site to go too. To finish the experience the beach was being worked on every day except between 1 and 3 so we could not even escape. We would be unable to recommend this site to anyone!

We first visited this site 25 years ago and were impressed by the peace. TVs, radios, dogs and rowdy behavior were banned.

We visted last September and found people with TVs blasting out from their awnings, dogs and cats roaming the site, and trees so overgrown that they damaged the roof of my caravan.

Site security staff did nothing to address noise complaints.
