We stayed at Nayalap , Sitlakhet towards the end of May for 2 days. We had put up in the tents. On arrival , we were greeted with the refreshing local rhododendron juice . Our stay for 2 days at the tents was absolutely fantastic and I would really like to congratulate Tanuja, who is the owner for being such a lovely and warm hostess.
The place is very idyllic, with hammocks , orchards, trees, stream , chirping birds and lots of open space to walk around and enjoy . The food was excellent and had a very home cooked feel about it. It was a mix of the local Kumaoni dishes and North Indian cuisine .
What we really loved about the place was the comfort and the secluded feel . It is a warm and luxurious getaway amidst nature wherein one can escape from the routine grind and be in peace with oneself.
Notable to mention, there is a trek to the local goddess Sahyi Devi templewhich is definitely recommended for its great views of the hills and valleys below.
Sometimes, you decide to venture out of your comfort zone and travel to a place you've never been before. 'Nayalap' was one such place and I'm so glad I came here!
From the lazy hammock to the beautiful views of the Himalayan ranges ahead, this property is amazing! The small village around was something to explore and the nearby hikes were definitely refreshing.
The tents were Luxurious, spacious and so welcoming. I loved the little personal touches that the hosts left by leaving books to read and so coffee to keep us running!
Anindya & Tanuja, the hosts, are extremely lovely people, who make you feel at home right from the moment you arrive. I have never had such a warm welcome in my life!
I can't recommend 'Nayalap' enough to all the travellers who're looking to be away from the city-noises and being one with nature, here in this small village nestled in the laps of the mountains.
Thank you for such warm hospitality! I honestly can't wait to be back again and have those delicious home-cooked meals that you served!
