We had two wonderful weeks in Devon, Cornwall and Dartmoor.
Your lodges were a wonderful accommodation and base for our excursions into the dreamlike landscape.
We have always gladly returned to our accommodation and felt very comfortable there. It is a wonderful accommodation for families and dog owners. There was nothing missing for us, a family with 2 children (10 and 13 years old).
Equipment and supervision by you were really great.
It was not easy for us to return to everyday life.
Already we miss the great view of the Dartmoor ...
Just returned from a wonderful week in Buttercups lodge. We received complimentary milk, tea bags, coffee and cake on arrival, adding to the very warm welcome from Andrew and Sally. The lodge has everything you could need, including a newly fitted kitchen and games for children. A nice touch was the removable gate to secure the veranda area. The field within the grounds are ideal for dog exercise, being fenced in and also able to access a quiet cycle lane(part of the Ruby Way). Hatherleigh is a small town close by which has a Coop, an excellent fish & chip shop and interesting walks. Other places of interest were Dingles Vintage Fair, Valley of rocks & Lynton and the Exmoor pony centre. The Bearslake Inn is a beautiful pub we found on the Granite Way, and highly recommended for lunch after a walk on the moors. We would love to return to Dartmoor View Lodges to explore this area more as there is so much to do. Andrew and Sally gave information on local walks on request and were always keen to offer help. Many thanks for ensuring our time in Devon was memorable.
Lovely, clean and spacious lodge which I have enjoyed staying in. Would highly recommend! Great location with brilliant views looking out over unspoilt countryside.
This is a lovely site, loads of birds and wildlife. Took my dog who loved it as there's lots of walks nearby and plenty of room on site to exercise. The lodge has everything you need and is very cosy, the weather had picked up so we didn't need the log burner, just the heaters in the morning. Went to Bude which was only 30 mins away as it was quiet, another day explored Dartmoor. The Eden Project is just over an hour away and was well worth a trip. Overall great and we will be back!
