Simply stunning. Enjoyed a short break for 3 nights while our home was having some renovation done. Family of 2 Adults, 15 year old, 5 year old and 4 month old.
Gorgeous barn, cosy and homely. Stunning views and a perfect place to rest, relax and recharge.
Well equipped kitchen, lovely wood burning stove with large basket of logs provided, central heating and comfortable beds.
Tea and coffee provided as well as other kitchen basics.
As it was my birthday when we arrived I was given a bottle of red wine which was a lovely touch and much needed.
We had a wonderful stay here in mid August 2018 with our two children (4 and 6). There is everything that you can need to feel at home, including a fully equipped kitchen, a wide array of books, washing machine (important if travelling with kids) and even a toy box.
The beds are comfortable and we enjoyed waking up each day to the beautiful view outside the window.
Wayne was very helpful and an accomodating host. We have already recommended this place to others.
Thank you for making us feel so welcome.
We returned 'home' for a family wedding and enjoyed the barn, in the summertime this time. Took beautiful walks along the local country lanes and paths. Great pub food locally at 1885. Day trips to Hadrian's Wall, York, and local 'memory lane' trips to HTAFC ground for new soccer shirts, and walks around Castle Hill and Honley. The Barn is beautifully equipped and comfortable and Wayne is on hand to make sure everything is ok. This is a gem of a place.
Lovely place, well fitted out and comfortable, all in a beautiful setting. The owners made every effort to make sure we had everything we needed. The barn is ideal for two couples as we were, everything was "just so" and well organised. We would definitely stay again.
Beautiful place and we had a wonderful time.
Wayne was very helpful throughout, particularly when he helped to dig us out of the snow when we left!
