White Island perse is nothing but a small sand bar lost near the coast of Agojo, Mambajao, Camiguin. Getting in the island can be easily done with a 10 minute boat ride. Approaching the Island from afar, you could already see the white, shimmering sands of the Island which forms a letter "C" but it changes depending on the tide conditions. The Island sometimes goes underwater when the tide is neap high. No trees or any form of shade that you can hide from the sun, which is a perfect haven for the sun bathers. The Island itself is ideal for snorkeling and bird watching. Plus a majestic view of Mt. Hibuk-hibuk which makes every angle picturesque. I would love to Cam- iguin here!

“Come again in Camiguin White Island!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 May 2014

Stunning strip of white sand island dipping along the waters of Bohol Sea. The time I got here, we witnessed an intimate beach Civil Wedding and the whole place looks very romantic. The means of transportation here are outrigger canoes and the last fetching is at 6PM. We stayed at Paras Beach Resort which is the nearest access to the pristine White Island. The service crews here advise us to bring umbrellas and food if we want to stay there for over an hour. They say it is ideal to go at 4pm to avoid the scorching heat of the sun.

“Typical Beach”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 May 2014

Growing up in the Philippines I had this privilege to actually observe different kinds of beaches since I was a kid. For me, White Island was just like any other white sand beach. The only difference is that it's a sand bar in the middle of the sea so you need to spend 450 PHP to get from the main Camiguin Island to the area via small, wooden speedboats and 20 PHP /pax for amusement fee. The place is quite hot ( there was no breeze the whole time I was there) so you better bring an umbrella, a tent, lots of water and a sun tan lotion. Keep yourself cool by swimming into the water but .please take note that the water is very salty (which actually caused my lips to swell, lol). There are make-shift vendors of sea urchins, drinks, food and owners of big umbrellas, tables and chairs for rent.

“White Island”

Beautiful stretch of white sand... clear and cool water to swim in.... bring your own food and drinks... never missed this part of Camiguin. Bring sun block and an umbrella also as the sun maybe too hot for some... no worries though as the water is invitingly cool..

Be sure to tell your tour guide that this will be the first place to visit in your itinerary so that you won't get burn under the sun. Lets say 7am is A-OK. Somehow there is a small sari-sari store in the island selling from water bottles to soda's and some local vendors also sells buko, sticky rice and sea urchins. As you take a look around you'll get a panoramic view of the island plus the mountains/volcanos towering Camiguin island.
