We have eaten here for six years and keep coming back every time we visit Costa Rica. The menu has changed very little over the years, even though the restaurant has had three owners. There are four selections on the menu: tuna, mahi mahi, chicken, and pork. They're all good, but the fish are my favorites. The tuna is crusted with sesame seeds, is served with a soy-wasabi sauce, and can be ordered as rare as you like it. The mahi mahi comes grilled or blackened, and is always perfectly cooked. Both kinds of fish were guaranteed caught the same day. The sides of mashed potatoes and vegetables are perfect. The key lime pie desert with blackberries is tasty, even though it's frozen. Phillip and his wife are friendly, gracious hosts and they remember us year after year. The prices went up this year from $13 a plate to $14 -- first price increase in six years! Still a bargain -- the portions are huge.
Be aware that the restaurant is cash only and BYOB, though I think he serves Imperial beer now.
