On arrival staff booked us in, not very smartly dressed for the job! Very basic hotel with just adequate breakfast served to table on first morning and get it yourself on second morning.
Room ( No 106 ) clean but wall where beds where located looks as though a severe leak had occured some time ago and wallpaper stained beginning to peel.
Thankfully we were visiting friends in the area and didn't need to eat in restaurant. Party on in the restaurant area on the Saturday night, so not sure where we could have eaten!!
TVs in rooms out dated and all PAT testing stickers were 3 months out of date. Budget hotels do it better.
Staff didnt even get newspaper order right. Wrong one on first morning and none on second.

It is a very functional hotel, clean, smart and friendly. It's the typical hotel used by travelling sales guys and business people. As there were many single people sitting at the tables eating! Why a I did find overpriced was the eveing menu. £25 for fish and chips. What a rip off. I had a couple of drinks and then went out to a local pub, which i did a review of. Howeve if you need a place to stay, you are on expenses, then this is the place.

The room was cold, and there was a smell of drains/rotting meat in the corridor outside the door which permeated into the room. The television did not work unless you wanted to look at the picture of the front of the hotel. There was a generator of some description immidately outside the bedroom window which started/stopped/started (you get the picture) ALL night.
The food was quite good once they had served mine, my partner had finished his by the time mine arrived at the table. Plus side was, they didn't charge us for it.
Sorry guys but that really was the only plus side to a shockingly poor service. 4 stars - I think they managed 2 last night.

Room Tip: Make sure they do not put you in 118/119 or any other in that short corridor.

This 'hotel' is shockingly bad, the rooms are all cheaply put together with beds that have sunk and feel like they have been put together using the cheapest materials, futhermore the staff are ill manored and speak to you like children, also noticing a number of staff smoking 'marijuanna' on the fire escape route! there is also nothing to do around the hotel and nothing to do inside the hotel, i would not have gone to this hotel if i was not forced too on buisness. disgraceful

Stayed here for one night, was a 'prize' we won so didn't really know what the hotel would be like. Was pleasantly surprised. Room was well kitted out, bed was comfy, bathroom clean and neat, only slight downside was the wi-fi was very weak so I gave up, think the wife may of sabotaged it to stop me watching the sport online.....the food in the restaurant was a little pricey but very tasty but the best part was the staff, really helpful which isn't always the case. We would stay there again if in that neck of the woods.
