Brocklands is fabulous, 360 degree views of rolling hills, farmland and woods. The safari tent is well laid out with all the things you could want to enjoy a self catering holiday. Thoughtful touches such as marshmellows to toast on the fire pit, really added to the experience for the children. My 5 year old voted in the best holiday ever. it was great to see the children explore the area on their own and to have the freedom to do so. There is one other tent across the other side of the field but it always felt as if you were on your own. Quite magical. There is plenty to do in the local area but if you don't want to eat out or cook yourself you can always ask Buffy and she will arrange a home cooked meal - well worth the money, good portions and really tasty.
The tent itself is clean and well equipped with logs for the bunners (hot water and cooking) there were wild flowers and cake on our arrival with plenty of coffee (ground) milk and bread to get you going. Its a much slower pace of life and sitting on the decking watching the barn owl at dusk was wonderful. The children didn't miss the TV, we played games and read books - it was a great way to unwind, play with the children, relax and have fun. I would definitely go back and recommend to all. I don't like camping, but I love glamping!
We have just returned from the most idyllic glamping trip at Brocklands farm. The views there are truly breathtaking and the location couldn't have been more perfect. We went with another family who stayed at the opposite end of the field. The tents were the perfect distance apart to allow privacy when needed but close enough to share meals, play time and for the children to run back and forth independently- which they loved. So rare these days to be so isolated you feel completely safe letting your children enjoy such freedom! We did all the usual camping activities: BBQs, melting marshmallows, collecting firewood. On the days we ventured out, we discovered the wonderful Thomas Lord pub in the local village (great grub), and a fantastic trip to Emsworth to go crabbing was a highlight. The children loved pulling huge numbers of crabs out of the sea, and the crab races!
Buffy made us feel so welcome. Delicious cake and bubbles were left for us on arrival. The tents are very well equipped for a very comfortable stay, the beds super snug. It was so perfect we are going to make it an annual break away! It really is a hidden gem.
Fantastic location in the Hampshire countryside, but not too far from a good village, and a nice pub!
The tents are great. They come with everything you need, and more. The stoves are easy to use and provide plenty of heat for cooking and hot water. The decked seating area is perfect for watching the sun go down with a nice G&T in hand. Plenty of good walks in the surrounding area, and a short amble through the fields to the village. Also not too far from Marwell Zoo.
We went as two families with young children, and we all enjoyed it immensely, especially the swing.
Great place to explore, build dens, chill, and relax.
What a fantastic place! Really well set up with complementary brownies, tea, coffee, hot water bottles and all beds made up for our arrival!
We went with our 6 and 4 year olds and they loved it, the area is absolutely beautiful and we will be booking again!!
Amazing spot, beautiful views & loads of wildlife (woke up to skylairks singing, watched buzzards soaring, game birds aplenty & deer trotting through field first thing!). Loved the tree swing & the tents are wonderful - quality of fixtures & fittings are fab - great attention to detail. Highly recommend. Easy distance to visit Winchester (taxis arranged for evening out) & also day visit to Bombay Sapphire Distillery - lovely spot at Laverstoke. Many of the group would be very happy to visit again with their families.
Wonderful first glamping experience! Every detail thought of and extremely well equipped tents. Beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. We went with a two and five year old and the boys absolutely loved the dens in the forest, the sounds of owls at night and of course the marshmallows on the fire! Would love to go back.
We had a wonderful long weekend at Brocklands farm - the views are to die for, the tent was warm and cosy, and there are great bike rides along the Meon Valley trail. There is a swing from a tall tree set between the 2 tents which provided a good neutral meeting spot for our boys who really enjoyed playing with the kids staying in the other tent.
