Thankyou for your reply....We are glad we were able to let u arrive 4 hours early on your arrival day...and leave late on your departure day at no extra charge to yourself....

In the interest of fair play and information I would just like to add you were advised the day before your arrival that a water heater had failed and was awaiting replacement,This was totally beyond our control and you were offered the chance to cancel,You failed to mention you had the facility of hot showers and a simple case of using the provided kettle for hot washing up use...

The very expensive pull out leather king size bed is somthing we knew nothing of until your stay.....it turns out guests decided to use the bed as a trampoline and broke the mechanism unbeknown to us...This is often the problem with such rentals,We strive to give people somewhere beautiful to stay,At a good value for money price,For it to be abused and damaged without our knowledge

Thanks again for choosing to come and stay with us

“Stunning accomodation, peaceful surroundings”
Reviewed 5 December 2017 for a stay in December 2017

Arrival is exciting, you have to access a gate, drive across a field, park and walk through some trees before you get your first view of the lodge. Clearly a labour of love the lodge looks like something off Grand Designs sat overhanging the water. You have to walk around the whole building to get to the front and every angle the view is different. Accomodation is well thought out and modern, we actually got excited about radiators! The log burner is worth the rental alone for winter stays, so cosy. We had no hot water during our stay but probably missed something obvious in the instructions. Didnt matter though and the modern shower worked fine. Didnt come for the fishing so cant comment on that, did come for a relaxing escape and it certainly delivered. Bedroom even has its own balcony over the water. Lodge is not overlooked at all and sits in lovely grounds. Possibly the best accomodation we’ve stayed in and we’ve stayed in a lot. Thank you to the owners for a wonderful stay, cant wait to try the treehouse next!!!

Thankyou for your wonderful review of our fishing lodge,We took great care during its reconstruction and updating to make it as comfortable as we could,It's lovely to get the appreciation you've shown,

The lodge is a good advert of what can be achieved by land owners like ourselves and our local authority council who give good advice and who want visitors to the county to feel as you clearly do about places they stay in......

Please come back and see it in the summer when the apples and plumbs are hanging from the Tees that surround the lodge

We look forward to your return

Thankyou

“Delightful private setting”
Reviewed 31 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

The lodge is set in an apple orchard near a stream and only a few steps away from the fishing lake. We enjoyed the fishing, but as we are beginners we didn't catch anything, but we had a few bites. The lodge is very well equipped with almost everything you could think of (except a hairdryer). The log burner is really efficient and there were loads of logs. Very handy for Hereford (a few minutes in the car) and some nice pubs within a mile or so.

Thankyou for your review and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay at the refurbished fishing lodge....

Re hairdryer:thankyou for bringing this to our attention but a hairdryer should have been on a shelf in the wardrobe??We will have to check as it sounds like a guest may have either broken it and not told us....or it may have been taken home by mistake by a previous guest to yourselves?

Please pass on the word to friends and other family and come back

“The Fishing Experiance”

I was recommended to stay here by a friend. When booking i dealt with Helen who went out of her way to answer any questions i had as well as being very responsive when in contact. On arrival i was greeted by one of the owners who was very polite and very helpful with any questions my father and i had.
My Father in the tree house and myself in the New Fishing Lodge which is ideally situated on the premises with lighting to help you along your way at night.

What can I say, it was a beautiful part of the country within a fabulous area. As you drive through the gates your met with a vibrant green field. You drive past the field and enter a batch of woods, walk along the scenic foot path ,when you look up the image is just stunning. If you like luxury but still want to feel at one with nature then it would be right in front of your eyes.

I was very lucky to be one of the first people to stay in the lodge, it's just what I needed. The first thing I noticed when walking to the lodge was the spectacular private lake full of fish life swirling around. To get to the lodge you must cross a running stream which is by far the most therapeutic sound. If you like real authentic designs then this lodge is by far a fisherman's dream. Real wood burner located in the living area, the best part the wood is all neatly stacked and cut for you no swinging axes around just rock up after a hard days fishing put some wood on the fire and your feet up.

The fishing was something else, the lake is naturally stocked and boy are the fish smart you really have to bring your game if you would like to catch. You see all the fish swimming around, i am very new to the fresh water side but its not as easy as i imagined. My father on the other hand had a little more experience from when he was younger and it definitely showed in the results of our little competition at the end of the weekend.

I myself will be enquiring about returning with my partner or maybe just for a gentleman's fishing weekend with a friend.

Once again Helen and Jon thank you for letting my father an i stay at your picturesque creation.

“Great place to stay”
Reviewed 23 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Having already stayed at the tree house we decided to go back but was not available on the dates we had arranged , the lady informed us of the lodge they had just built . We liked the area that much so thought we would give it a try . We were not disappointed , the same great relaxing surroundings with a fantastic fishing lake to use . We love this place and will be visiting many more times in the future . I love to fish and my partner loves to relax so it's a perfect combination . There are not many places you can stay in such comfort and fish right outside. Even if your not fishing it's still a great place to be and unwind. Can not recommend enough
