Lots to like here clean and well managed. Nice pitches not to cramped even when the site is full
Good shop stocks local food and fresh bread
Not the best location off a very busy main road and a very long narrow drive which can be tricky to pass other caravans
But very secure once there
My only niggle is the very dated hand dryers in both ladies toilet /showers one doesn’t always carry a towel as it’s nice to have soap and hand cream the dated very slow dryers let it down ! Shame :-(
On a good note the dog walking area is brilliant!! A lovely well managed wood with good paths
Oh and the lovely Malcom the site manager who gave us lots of info on trips

Thank you Jayni. We appreciate the review and all the comments.
Each year we slowly work our way through upgrades and the hand dryers are due to be updated so dont worry. We have so much to invest and it is on the list.
Thank you again.

On arrival we was met by friendly staff and booking in was simple and fast. A refundable £10 deposit get's you your entry and exit card to make coming and going from the park so easy. As we was camping and have a large Air Tent with extras the pitch size really was massive another plus. The facilities was clean and no queuing for them either. The site staff was extremely friendly and could not do enough for you including any local advise and attractions. All the other people staying at the site was very friendly and there was a real nice feel about the site. We would not hesitate to return. Well done and Thank you to the owners and staff for a perfect stay.

Our first experience of glamping and we loved it here. Set in beautiful grounds we hired a pod for the weekend and was delighted. The staff are brilliant and the wood fired pizza van that came Friday was excellent. Already planning on coming back later this year. Haven't felt so chilled as the weekend spent here.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in the Otter lodge for 2 nights in June.

The location is very nice and the interior of the lodge was lovely, there are cushions, kitchen utensils, cooking facilities and a washing up bucket with essentials like washing up liquid matches, dish cloth ect.

The reception and shop was very convenient stocking anything you might need or have forgotten and the staff were very helpful and patient as we were first time glampers!

The toilet and shower block was very clean and modern. The shower is push start and doesn’t last long before going off but I understand this is to save water being wasted.

The only negative we faced while here was quite a few rats running past and under our lodge. I know we are out in the sticks and probably nothing can be done but it’s slightly intimidating and made us nervous to eat on the terrace as some were very daring and weren’t scared to come close!!

Overall we had a lovely stay and I would defiantly come back for a peaceful trip

Thank you Millie for the great review of Otter.
We fit the lodges and cabins with what we would like to have when we go glamping.
We try to stock as much essentials as we can in the shop but more luxuaries.
Also, yes the showers are a push start that should give enough hot water each time to get you properly soaked, and this is to prevent water loss that you can imagine on a park this size can be quite scary.
With regard to the wildlife. Yes we are a very natural park and that includes all manor of animals, rabbits, foxes, badgers, deer, squirrel, otters, birds a plenty, even the rat. They are few and far between and obviously on the look for a snack, but as we dont have a restaurant and all our bins are sealed on concrete bases with no food source so they dont get much here. Sorry that they made you nervous but they would be more scarred of you then you were of them. Next time let us know if you see any and we will loan you the campsite cat- Monty.

Site was lovely, clean and tidy. Faculties were excellent. Unfortunately on our last morning someone was packing up to go home at 5.30am, waking everyone around them up. Should be some sort of rule about packing up at this time. Apart from that i would definitely stay again.

Hi Zella.
Thank you for the top score.
I am sorry you were woken up by someone being inconsiderate. If we knew, we would have stopped them from making that amount of noise.
We normally only allow customers to leave between 8.30am and 11.00am but maybe there was a family reason they had to depart so quickly.
I hope this didn't cause too much of a issue for you.
Do come again.
