We stayed Friday 26th to Monday 29th, we went with another family so we booked two pitches.
Booked in at reception and member of staff showed us to our pitches back out to track and further down to a big open field - grass was cut so ideal for tents.
Showers are the tidiest and cleanest we have ever used, heated floor, gents showers back on to the pool entrance code needed on the door - they give you this in the site booklet when booking in.
The field had a round concrete item this holds bricks so you can put barbecue off the grass, the wheelie bins also in field are checked and staff take rubbishy am and pm , they drive around also checking the site though out the day as well.
Pool is heated. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The club and bar are good for a little light entertainment Aaron was a great host.
The only that would have made the campsite better is to have toilets in the field out the back but fingers crossed this will happen. Will definitely be back next year

We went for a 3 day week end family holiday. What ever time I went to the toilets and showers they were clean . The staff were quite strict with noise after 10pm and walked around alot checking the site and the customers but we're very friendly and approachable. We liked that they had noise curfews as we do put our kids to bed for about 9 ish so it was nice that there wasn't kids running around . Nice big pitch for our super sized tent. Very close to sainsburys and moors valley . Entertainment was good. Bar was reasonably priced. Good little site xxx

We have been camping for years and have never experienced a site with so many rules. We were told where to put our tent on our pitch and when we asked if we could move it across so we could have a communal area to share with the pitch next door (family) we were told absolutely not. The warden walks around like a police officer telling kids off before they even think about breaking a rule. Ours were sent back to the pitch on day one because they were out on bikes after dusk. He was back at our tent door at 11.02 telling us to turn our lights out and go to bed. Pitches cramped and very near a busy dual carriageway. This holiday was not relaxing and wild horses wouldn't drag us back to shambles.....I mean shamba.

Really well situated campsite with loads to do nearby. We wouldn't normally camp at a 'holiday village' type site but with the dodgy British weather, the allure of the indoor pool was too good to pass up! Certainly kept our 10 yr old busy & happy as it was too blustery to sit outside.

Liked having the bar facility on site with choice of eating there too. Opening times and rules that others have mentioned didn't bother us as we were back to our tent at 9ish anyway. But joined in with the nightly bingo, good fun. When in Rome...

The three of us only stayed three nights but there were many others there for their longer holiday as well as seasonal caravanners. Real mix and lots of children to play with. Added bonus of a playground and separate recreational field for a proper kick-about and dog walking. We didn't bring our dog as puppy + tent isn't for us but there were lots of well-behaved dogs on site.

Lovely and quiet after about 10.30pm, lots of clean, well-maintained facilities (v important to have decent showers!) and friendly staff. Only downside was the pool area - supposed to be no outdoor shoes round the pool but the floor was gritty and quite muddy - not a nice mix with damp tiles. And the pool itself wasn't very clean, really could have done with a clean out. I only lasted 10 minutes - obviously kids aren't as picky as me!

Think we'll be back as Shamba had everything we needed. Thanks for a good stay!

Travelled to visit relatives in the area so the location at the edge of the forest was perfect for us. The facilities are the cleanest I've ever experienced on a campsite. Everything was immaculate. The washing up area even had little j cloths to wipe down the sinks after use. Showers warm. Toilets spotless. Swimming pool fantastic. Even used the launderette....lovely little rooms with iron etc. Pitch was huge even with our large family tent. We travelled with 2 toddlers and were grateful there were no late night parties, boisterous loud guests or music playing. Our children slept peacefully and well 7pm till 7am all three nights. We were given a very informative map and dos and donts when we arrived which was fantastic. This gave us all the info we needed and we knew where everything was. They provide bricks for bbqs, electric at all points and there was water really close by. The grass is kept really short and tidy in the playing field where which my littlens enjoyed a good kick about with their balls. Wardens always busy keeping everything clean and tidy. They were very friendly. Booking process really easy. Lovely ladies on reception and lovely welcome on arrival. Even had wifi which was only £3 and meant we could Skype and send emails. Thanks for a great stay shamba.

Room tip: We had pitch 13 and it was a lovely quiet spot to sit out in the evening. really close to the toilets and wash up.
