Stayed here for a few days and it was very good. Sauna area was excellent. The food was superb and could not fault it. Staff always well presented and hard working. Only downside not much to do in the area.
Overall excellent but only stay here fir a few days as you soon become bored.

We had a canal side room which had a brilliant view. The room was spacious and the double bed was huge and with really good quality pillows (so important). We had access to the country club during our stay, the facilities are great the pool, the sauna, the steam room, jacuzzi, the gym are all included as a guest. Breakfast was good and was buffet style, a very wide choice of items from fresh fruit, through to the cooked variety. We also had dinner included and the food was excellent, but then a few things slipped in to spoil an otherwise fantastic break. the food the first night no problem a pulled pork covered scotch egg was great followed by spatchcock chicken brill. Second night not so good went fishy but it was let down a little, the moules tasted lovely in a beautiful sauce but some still had beards, and with a broken shell in sauce couldn't take up the lovely sauce without bits of shell. This was followed by traditional Fish and Chips, a little greasy (oil at wrong temp?) also not the best bit of haddock. Third night the birthday dinner main and a desert, for £7 supplement i went for 10oz sirloin steak well King whoever it was would not have knighted the steak that I had he would have give it to his dog, my wife was really upset at this point as it was my birthday spoke to the staff and we were told later that we would not have to pay the supplement, i ate a reasonably put together Eton Mess at the end but the night was ruined. Then came the worst night of sleep we have had on the 3 nights we were there, someone continuously talking 2 doors down with the windows to the balcony open so we could hear them as we like to sleep with window open also, at 3 o'clock my wife who is the light sleeper got up to shut our door to the balcony but it didn't work you could still hear it. So we got up at 6 got ready to go but breakfast was not available till 7:30 on weekends (6:30 weekdays) so we paid up, complained about noise, can't open window in room only french door, also old aircon system kept coming with no warning even though they said it didn't work it sounded like plane engine. So all in all could do better a few little things let it down.

Room Tip: Not next to the wedding party guests.

We had a canal side room which had a brilliant view. We really enjoyed watching all the narrow boats go by. The room was spacious and the double bed was huge. We had access to the country club during out stay. Te facilities are great and the pool is probably the best I've been to in a long time. Breakfast was good and was buffet style which is always a bonus in my book. I would definitely return to this hotel.

We booked a dinner bed and breakfast deal for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We booked an executive room with canal side views - we stayed in room 212 which is located on the 1st floor. Standard sized room with massive tv and lovely bathroom, I'm not sure what made it executive?! There were two dining chairs in the room that could be put on the small patio area/edge of the room but these weren't comfy enough to watch the tv so we ended up sitting on the bed. We had a noise problem with some of our neighbours, I don't know if they were being particularly noisy or the fact that we were so quiet and every chair scrapping, wardrobe door banging, bath running etc just was quiet noisy? Also there was a wedding taking place in the hotel so a few of the guests new one another so they were talking to one another from the 2nd floor and the ground floor!

The food in the Waterside restaurant was delicious and the waitresses were all really friendly. There are two restaurants on site and we could have eaten in either one but chose Waterside as we wanted something more special. The restaurant is in a separate building and is connected with a covered walkway in case of bad weather. The were children in the hotel and the restaurant has facilities for high chairs etc.

The gym/spa/Nico's Restaurant is a walk across the car park. The pool is a good size, with loungers down the sides, a water machine, steam room and sauna. The gym is of reasonable size and there are classes taking place too.

Room Tip: We booked an executive room with canal side views - we stayed in room 212 which is located on the 1st floor. Standard sized room with massive tv and lovely bathroom, I'm not sure what made it executive?!

Stayed for one night as a gift , it was a travel zoo package of £99 . This included a meal at the waterside restaurant which is about ten steps from the hotel . We used some of the facilities including steam room ,jacuzzi , swimming pool .
The room - 118
The room was very clean , spacious and bright . It had air con (very quiet) , a canal view . A balcony with a table and chairs outside . The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on . Large flat screen in the room at the end of the bed . Bar in hotel was quite expensive we bought a bottle of rose for £20 which is around £6 in asda , and two bottles of beer which came to £6 each .
The restaurant
The food was lovely , delicious served hot . Staff were happy efficient and attentive . We had a table by the garden and a beautiful peacock staring at us through the window !!
The facilities -
The swimming pool was a good size , the jacuzzi was hot relaxing with plenty of bubbles . All appeared clean . The decor was gorgous and relaxing . The steam room was good with a hint of menthol for your sinus's . The changing rooms were spacious and luxurious with large TVs showers lockers and toilets . There were hair dryers and large bright mirrors available . And again staff were helpful at the desk . There was a male member of staff sitting at the pool . Not sure if he was a life guard but he spent more time with his head in his phone then watching the pool but perhaps he was on his break ?
Over all our night away was a delight ! We would definitely come back (I will be planning a girlie night away and use more of the facilities ) and next time try out the snow cave !!!
