The bungalow was set on the main road which had some traffic but not too much. It had lovely views across the bay. The Cottage was modern and very clean. We had a good nights sleep on both nights. I don't have any hesitation in recommending this as self catering.
I had the main bedroom which is roomy with 2 large windows, a window seat that looks out to the water, 2 wardrobes, a lovely dressing table and stool. The rear twin room was smaller and very cold, despite heating. The cottage bedrooms could have been warmer -the final 2 days there the weather was windy and cold. The lounge was the best place to sit at night due to the heater there.
We had a lovely stay in your house. It was very nice decorated. From the room we saw a seal liing in the sun. Orkney is a nice island.
Teresa's place was perfect for us - comfortable, clean, convenient and spacious. The location was super: a block from a play park for the kids, halfway between St. Margaret's Hope and Kirkwall. The view was really dramatic -and the rainbow across the Flow was ample payoff for a little rain! Teresa gave us some tips to find sandy beaches- there is a fine one close to the Italian Chapel. Although there was no WiFi, we found the folder Teresa left with maps and pamphlets was more efficient than web searches anyway for island info. NOTE: Use Teresa's written directions to find the place! When we tried the automated link it put us a couple blocks away. Thank you for a memorable visit!
We really enjoyed our stay at Glenduron, a lovely 2 bedroom cottage. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and very clean. It has a sea front location with beautiful views of the scapa flow. Short drive to the Italian Chapel and into Kirkwall- wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return.
