Nice hotel and very good staff however thought at £55 for one night B & B was a bit steep.
Bar food was though very good and reasonably priced.
Comfortable and spotless room.No Wi-fi.
Car park across the road through the village.
Probably would try somewhere else if back in the area again.

My husband and I are just back from a 2 night break at this lovely little hotel having purchased a deal on living social. Was everything perfect? No, however for a small 3 star country hotel all the important elements are well done. Excellent menu, tasty food and very friendly service. Excellent selection of ales (for hubby, not me!) and a nice overall cosy feel. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. 2 staff members really stood out for me, Georgie and Sharon, I can't help but feel (in the short time I was there and again just an observation) that if these girls weren't there things wouldn't run quite so well! We would return to this hotel and would recommend it for a short break. Thanks Lesley

Firstly - this is a 3 star hotel - so don't arrive expecting 5 star standards.

As the title suggests - I can't fault the place. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly & helpful receptionist (who later became our waitress at dinner). My room was a double (no 14 overlooking some grass & flowerbeds) and was very spacious - with tv, kettle, tea/coffee and a clean & bright bathroom.

The food was fantastic. We had dinner here each of the 3 nights we stayed and every night was a success. The Steak & Ale Pie and Bridge of Cally Chicken are dishes not to be missed!

If I was in the area again - I'd definitely return to Bridge of Cally Hotel. I'll be recommending it to others too.

Room Tip: I'd say in most hotels - the further away from reception you are - the better. Less banging of doors and loud voices at night. My room was almost at the end of the building.

Well at least looked at the road atlas as the hotel is advertised as Blairgowrie when in fact it is at least 5 or 6 miles further on. We were disappointed as we were thinking we were staying in the town not out in the back of beyond. The room we were allocated was horrendously noisy, (being above the kitchen with the constant noise of extractor fans going all the time). On requesting a move they did move us the following day to a superior room which we were told would naturally cost us more. They told us the fans would not start until 8am however they were churning away at 7.20am just what you want when you come away for a relaxing break. Although the food was okay there seemed a lack of plainer dishes for people who could not take heavily spiced or seasoned food. After three days I found the choice very limiting. There was also nowhere near at hand to eat if you wanted a change without going by car. The hotel lacked a quiet area as the noise from the bar could be heard in all the downstairs areas which were all open plan. The staff were friendly and on the whole helpful. The free WFII was a joke as you could only connect in the noisy bar and then only occasionally. The TV in the room was a joke too with only 2 channels available. I did not enjoy my stay and I feel unless you like shooting, fishing and walking don't stay there.

Room Tip: Avoid room 7 or ask if your room is near the kitchen. The central heating wasn't working in room 19 either.

Just returned today after a 2night Groupon deal ( £99for 2 nights b&b) & we had a good time
Upgraded to a superior room (6) for £10 extra per night & the room was spacious , spotless with super king bed & large bathroom with a deep bath & powerfull over bath shower The water was extremely hot & the bath filled in no time Small toiletries were in the room too
Ate in the hotel both nights & in no way could we fault either the food or service The staff were kept extremely busy and on the second night a group of 10 Austrians were in for dinner ( think they were o shooting party ) & after eventually giving their dinner order just as the waitress was leaving the resteraunt they all decided to change what they wanted ! No problem to the staff she smiled , tore up the first list & started again well done to her ( don't know if I'd have been so polite lol )
Only reason I've not given 5 stars is because the hotel ran out of rosé wine None available on the 2nd day ( said the delivery van was running late but none materialised that night ) The Austrians couldn't get their choice of Pinot Grigio either A hotel with little wine isn't on
Weather wasn't kind to us as we were eager to do some hillwalking but the rain & thick mist meant we were limited to what we could do but obviously this is nothing the hotel can do anything about
We will return & hope that we could get some walking in
