Mount Tapyas is well worth the 700 step hike to the top! Do the hike and don't get a tricycle. It's not as hard as it sounds, especially if you wait until after 5pm when it gets a little cooler, and will make it to the top in lots of time to see the beautiful sunset over Coron Bay. It's so stunning at the top with an amazing vista of Coron town, the bay and the countless peaks and islands. Do the full circle around the top and don't just stick to the viewing area, you will see a couple of different views, each bathed in a different coloured light. We both agreed it was the most beautiful sunset we had experienced. There is a lovely atmosphere at the top too with local children playing and laughing. It was such a great experience, we did the hike up the next night too. Just one word of advice, if it's a cloudy evening, the sunset won't be as good, try to do it on a clear night and it will be spectacular.
