We just stopped by at Banol Beach because has quite a small shore and not conducive for a crowd. When we arrived there, there were only a couple of other tourists enjoying the afternoon sun lazing on the white sands. If you want to see live monitor lizards, definitely, this is the place for you. The beach has them but do not be alarmed! They immediately leave once they sense human presence close by. Size-wise, the lizards are smaller compared to their relatives in the forests leading to the Puerto Princesa Underground River! Better move to the nearby Atwayan Beach for a bigger shore and more cottages for your picnic!
