“If you want to sunbathe or picnic, Banol Beach is for you”
Reviewed 27 November 2011

We just stopped by at Banol Beach because has quite a small shore and not conducive for a crowd. When we arrived there, there were only a couple of other tourists enjoying the afternoon sun lazing on the white sands. If you want to see live monitor lizards, definitely, this is the place for you. The beach has them but do not be alarmed! They immediately leave once they sense human presence close by. Size-wise, the lizards are smaller compared to their relatives in the forests leading to the Puerto Princesa Underground River! Better move to the nearby Atwayan Beach for a bigger shore and more cottages for your picnic!

“perfect location to see the sunset”
Reviewed 10 November 2011

This is a pretty small island with limestone rock formations. And of course, fine white sand and clear water. We had a really great time here watching the sunset. must visit!

“Beach Bumming Place”
Reviewed 1 November 2011

I love the clear water and the white sandy beach of Banol. I went relaxing when we had our stopover here for lunch. There is a local store nearby where you can cool yourself with cold soda. Good for just dipping and doing your tanning.

“Great lunch!”
Reviewed 18 October 2011

We stayed here for the lunch.

The waters are crystal clear, as in you can see everything in the water. There are lots of picture taking opportunities with a cliff, lots of boulders that make great picture sites and clear blue waters.

We had lunch here and I had a short nap as well before we went to our next destination.

TIP: Bring lots of water. There is a small canteen in the beach managed by an old lady. She has cold soft drinks and snacks for sale. Her grandson would go up and down the beach clearing it of debris to keep the power white sand clean. They also have a pet monkey for picture taking, funny thing, monkeys actually like bananas and pork chops, go figure.

Tip: Bring a tri-pod for picture taking to ensure you're part of the picture.
