Basically we stayed there due to the fact that our last minute reservations made with Jasmine's place (down the road) was double booked on the last day of our vacation. I would recommend staying there (Jasmine's Place) first if you have the option of the two.

The room was total basic, small. With good air conditioner.

Market is literally across the street. Every single thing that one would want to do within the city limits of Coron is accessible by foot from the hotel.

Room Tip: Very important to ask for a room facing the courtyard and not the market (if you would like to sleep...

Location: Right in the center of town and very accessible (literally) to the port, the market, the restaurants, the souvenir shops, the plaza, the tourism office and Mt. Tapyas among others. It is budget accommodation not just in terms of price, but also in terms of transportation as you can just walk instead of paying for tricycle. The downside is when the room is at the roadside, and you are a light sleeper because noise from people walking in the street at night can be heard, although it's not that disruptive.

Design: What you see in the pictures is really what can be seen. Very natural with a mix of tribal design. Design is also very consistent and can be seen in every part of the hotel. The overall ambiance is relaxing.

Rooms: A/C with cable flatscreen TV and wifi; comfy beds with comforters; has cabinets, desk and drawers with keys; has complimentary towels. Bathroom is clean, moderate in size and has basic complimentary toiletries; has hot and cold water and shower. The downside is that the bathroom sometimes has a certain smell when you flush (which goes away after). Also, if you choose the triple room and have another bed added to it, the room doesn't have enough space to move around especially if you're big.

Food: delicious complimentary set breakfast with options; you have to order it the day before and tell them what time you'll eat; they were mostly punctual for the 3 days we stayed there, except for the last day. They have free coffee, water and fruits.

Service: The staff is very accommodating, and they serve with a smile. They even allowed our companions to stay in the room before check- in time because they were at an earlier flight. There was just a hiccup on the first day when we requested for an extra bed that they haven't prepared even until we got back from our trek, but other than that, the service was good. Just remember though that Coron is a province, and as such the pace is slow in general.

All in all, we were satisfied with our stay here and if ever we are again called by mystery of Coron that all tourists seem to be getting (the reason why many people come back), we will consider staying here again.

Room Tip: Noise from the street, while not that disruptive, can be heard inside rooms at the street side so if...

Balaibinda Lodge is a lovely little hotel in Coron Town. It's really cheap and we paid just around $75 per night for a room which can accommodate 6 people! It's pretty basic, however, beds, linens, A/C, bathroom, etc. but you'll be out the entire day anyway. They also have packages with tour inclusions so you just have to email and ask them about that which is still very reasonably priced. Location is great because it's just a minute away from the docks where boats will pick you up for the island tours. It's also close to little restaurants and souvenir shops. Staff are friendly and honest. The tour van even returned the hat that my cousin left in it. Breakfast, or any other meal, should be pre-ordered a day before. The tours start early in the morning until sunset and the boatmen prepare your lunch and snacks while you are out in the islands enjoying what beautiful Coron has to offer.

All in all, it's really good value for your money.

Room Tip: get the room with the courtyard view.

The inn is fairly new. Rooms are cozy yet small. But enough for resting after a day of island hopping and tours. Most people who stay there are tourists. Location is perfect if you want everything within walking distance - food, market, souvenirs, massage, port. Php 1,800 for a couple aircon room in the courtyard (silent part of the inn, away from the road). They provide towels and breakfast. Nothing much to expect on the free breakfast though, as serving is quite small. For the price, the room is worth it.

Room Tip: Courtyard rooms are good for relaxing after a tiring day. Roadside rooms are quite noisy -- anytime...

We booked here for one night before beginning a Tao Philippines tour. We only paid $30 for the room and it exceeded our expectations. The hotel is on the main street through Coron so it is central but quiet because it is set back into a pretty courtyard. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was fine and the air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. If you can get a good deal on the price I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay.

We organised a package through a tour opeator that included a couple of nights at Balaibinda as well as a tour of the town and Coron Island.

The hotel is just off the market square in the centre of town, with the sound of vendors and tricycles making you feel in the heart of Coron life. Considering Super Typhoon Haiyan (known locally as Yolanda; Y for the 25th typhoon to hit the Philippines this year so far) had rolled through a month previous, the hotel and the island showed little sign of defeat and people seemed to be getting on with things in their usual manner.

We stayed in a triple room on the first floor at the very end of the walkway overlooking the road in front on the hotel. Despite this close proximity, the room was quiet. It had a small bathroom with a shower and toilet, plus there was also a decent aircon unit and a flat screen TV with satellite.

The only issue we had was service at breakfast. The day before, you select your meal and time, but both mornings we waited in excess of 15-20mins for it to be brought to the table.

All in all, a nice little hotel and an enjoyable stay.

The location was great. The public market is just right outside and the boating trips walking distance. We had the family room which could accommodate up to 6 people. The room was quiet. They have their own generator when the electricity goes out. On first night, the beds were itchy- bed bugs. The egg crate mattresses are not being disinfected properly. They changed the bedsheets but didn't help. Bring lysol spray for the bed if you plan on staying there. Breakfast is ordered the night before, so cold food in the morning. There's no warm water.
