This was my second stay at Sophia’s and I must say that the experience was just as good as the first. Airport transfer was efficient. The welcome by the staff was genuine and friendly. We were placed in a room in the second building. It was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. They even provide space for you to hang your wet clothes and towels. Minibar prices are very reasonable.

Sophia’s is located a short tricycle ride away from the main town. Reception organised all our transport and we never had to wait too long. They also organised a private boat for our tours. Although slightly more pricey than the joiner tours, it meant we were able to tailor the itinerary to our needs and not have to worry about having 20 people or so in the same group.

Mobile phone reception in our room was non-existent. WiFi was only available in the gardens and some common areas. However, they advised us of this upfront and it was not an issue for us.

We ate at the restaurant a couple of times and found some menu items unavailable due to stock issues. The food we did end up getting was tasty enough. There are other options in town only a short ride away.

The garden is amazing and the pool was lovely. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Overall, I thought our stay was excellent and I would not hesitate to come back in the future.

This place was lovely, friendly and helpful staff, we were unfortunate to there when a typhoon was coming through and couldn't move on to our next destination when we wanted. The staff were very accommodating and extended our stay several times keeping us in the same room.
The pool and Jacuzzi were great, breakfast was good too. Just a short tricycle ride to Coron town. It was good staying a bit out of town.

Stayed for 4 days, 3 nights and the service from staff has been fantastic. They are always smiling, greeting guests when they see them, courteous, provides assistance right away and always available & happy to help. You can see that they value and look after their guests well. I honestly felt like very important person whilst staying here. I think this is one of their assets.

Sophia’s is a relaxing place in itself. A little bit far from the town centre so you can get the peace and quiet (if you want it) and the transportation to town is easy as the front desk would get a tricycle for you. We enjoyed the pool and the jacuzzi. The pillows are comfortable. There are enough toiletries - dental kit, soap, shampoo and conditioner. Free bottled water and coffee making inside room. The restaurant has beautiful decors and ambience is very relaxing.

Would have given them 5 stars but their restaurant food is quite limited (although it is understandable because it is a small hotel) and little bit pricey. We didn’t book out tours with them cause they also are more expensive than others so I suggest compare and contrast tours around Coron which you’ll find everywhere, literally, and cheaper price. The hotel room price otherwise seems fair, affordable and very much worth it for the price you pay. I even compared it to other hotel’s rates (mid ranged prices and in consideration to reviews), and found that it is the best and cheaper choice for their rates and inclusions.

I think their no such thing as a perfect place as we all have different expectations. But, I still and will highly recommend Sophia’s Garden Resort to you guys, my family and friends especially if you are in a good, reasonable budget but would like the best service from staff.
