This guest house is in a lovely listed building in a very pretty village in North Yorkshire. The owners are very friendly and the breakfasts are good.
The bedrooms are dated and the shower room was very small with a curtained shower and had obviously not been updated for 20 years. Normally I would not complain because everything was spotless and the beds were very comfortable but at the price of £90 for a small standard room with an old tiny shower and washhand basin more was expected.
The other downside was the noise from the market set up which took place from 2.30 am until 4.00am, very near the house. Also the pub opposite has before daylight deliveries. Only stay if you sleep soundly.
