My husband has been here several times for courses through his work. He like to stay here as he always raves about the food at the George Easingwold. Well I must say he is totally right. The food is amazing. The rooms are clean and well kept. The village is adorable and we shall be coming up for a long weekend in the not too distant future. reasonable prices as well.

The George Hotel at Easingwold never fails to deliver excellent service, quality food and overall great value for money.......Just come back from our 5th overnight stay and it's pretty much impossible to find fault, given we paid just less than £60 for bed and breakfast for two. Would just like to say to all the staff, "Keep up the good work" and no doubt see you again before too long.

We had a lovely few days staying here with friends. Very friendly owners, who provide a great atmosphere. It was a very dreich weekend but the log fire , good food and real ale warmed the cockles in the evening.
Our room was spacious, warm and had all we needed.
Well done The George, we would certainly return.

Room Tip: Nothing to do with rooms but they do have some great real ales!!

Pleased to hear that the log fire made the difference on a miserable weekend....nothing to do with drinking Yorkshire's finest ales!

This former coaching inn is conveniently situated in the centre of the small market town of of Easingwold in North Yorkshire. There is plenty of free parking, both in the square and in the small hotel car park which serves the courtyard rooms at the rear of the hotel.
Our first visit was in July last year, and we enjoyed it so much we returned with four friends and had a great time.
Comfortable rooms ( with tea & coffee making facilities ), bar with log fire, excellent food and friendly service all combine to make the perfect short break.

Room Tip: We preferred the rooms in the main hotel.

Found the hotel quite comfortable, rooms are on the small side but clean, no fridge but there is free WiFi in the lounge. The hotel is opposite the bus station for buses to York about every half hour. Meals, both breakfast and mains were excellent. Owners are very friendly, helpful and courtrous. Would stay again.

The George is full of character and the charm of yesteryear. Log fires, bay windows, ceiling beams and comfortable furniture. Dinner at the restaurant was very enjoyable. We stayed in one of the rooms added on to the back of the Hotel which did not possess the same charm but was comfortable and clean. We used the nearby Park and Ride into York which easy to access. There was also a bus which stopped right outside the front door,15 mins to York.A little gem of a place.
