My husband did his research here! From the friendly greeting from Bruce to the creek, alpacas and outdoor spa bath in Tassie ( day and night!),- and don't get me started on the amazing his 'n hers double shower - so much divine luxury and privacy- wished we could have stayed longer.
Thinking of a place to relax? Go no further than this and you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Any are great- all totally private

I booked the romantic package for 2 nights to finish off our camping trip around Tasmania. We are both in 20's and it was more than accommodating for our age group and for all others too. It was so peaceful and relaxing along with the great hospitality! The spa and the little canoe available to take down the river really topped it off!! It really was the best experience and way to end a rough camping trip around the beautiful Tasmania. Could have easily stayed much longer and will definitely be returning and recommending to all visiting Tasmania.
Amazing x

We came across this attraction while driving towards Scottsdale. It was only just off the main road and easy to park. You start by going into a nice hut that tells you a story of the person who mined the area (Great story about a Chinese man). Then you follow the sign posts around the trial that takes about half hour to do. good walk and interesting. Nice stop on your journey.

Plus at the bottom you can see the lovely owners lama and como Se

We where lucky enough to be given some eggs from their chickens, which as we where camping we enjoyed.

Although we did not stay at the cottages, Graham and Christine are genuine nice people and you would enjoy there company.

Beautiful quiet location, excellent well appointed clean cottage. Kids loved feeding the alpacas and going for a canoe down the river. Had a lovely stay, thanks Bruce & Penny. The local region has lots to see, waterfalls, beautiful forests and the cafés have plenty of local produce to indulge in!

We enjoyed a wonderful drive from St Mary's through the north east. This place was much anticipated, after touring for 10 days we were looking forward to staying here. We were not disappointed. It's a short drive off the main road but feels quite isolated. We stayed in Chintook Cottage withe outdoor spa. After a thorough introduction from Graham and with assistance from James and Rusty we settled in. One has the run of the place, we lived from the vege and herb patch and picked eggs from the 'palais de chook'. The alpacas are friendly and the chooks follow you around, expecting a feed and they'll eat out of your hand if patient!

Graham is v.informative withe local (Chinese) history and his micro hydro plant etc. The river walk is pleasant and (not being fans of spas) we (finally) relented and used it as a hot tub. What a great night that was! The clouds cleared and we enjoyed many hours and much wine in it!

The only grumble...it'd be nice to have the breakfast hamper topped up daily (but I understand Graham's logic).

Tin Dragon is a hidden gem and would stay again!

Room Tip: I wouldn't think there'd be much between the cottages, choose Chintook if a spa/hot tub is t...

We stayed in the Ah Ping Cottage. Our hosts were really helpful and friendly. We loved the trail walk. The rain-head shower was a bonus, too! Beautiful creek running through the property so bring suitable gear for a paddle. A+P, Sydney.

Room Tip: All cottages are private, but the one right down the end of the road would be our pick.
