“Great walk and interpretive display”
Reviewed 27 November 2013

A spring walk with the family - our 4 year old was fascinated by the story in the interpretation centre, then there were the wildflowers, birds and heritage to admire. Great spot, very interesting heritage.

“Tin Dragon Trail Cottages Walks”
Reviewed 11 November 2013

Two walks on the property and another one adjacent make this a great place to increase your understanding of the tin-mining history & Chinese heritage of NE Tas.
Graham and Christine have value-added the walks with excellent interpretation, art installations that are so good that it is best to leave them as a surprise for you, and a wonderful spot on one of the walks set aside for meditation. You will be enriched by doing these walks!
Henry Ah Ping's Walk and story in the Settler's Hut is very well researched.
While in the area you should visit the Tin Dragon Centre at Derby where the AV is excellent. We found Henry's wife Louisa's grave at Moorina cemetery just above the Burning Tower. You'll have to go there to find out what a Burning Tower.
Google Tin Dragon Cottages and you will get good info about the 2 featured walks.

“Very interesting”

If you are in the area and feel like a nice walk through the bush give this a go. There is a 20 minute option or a 3 hour option from memory.
