Not wishing to venture far from Casa Portagioia, the day after our long drive from the UK, we came across Roggi's restaurant and decided to have our main meal of the day at lunchtime. The menu was varied and reasonably priced and we ate very well. One fascinating aspect of the restaurant was the four generations of the owner's family to be found relaxing or working there, from Nonna who seemed to be monitoring everything to the little grand-daughter. They are justifiably proud of their business and their heritage. Simple, good fare and a nice introducton to Tuscany before we ventured further afield through the week that followed. And the view from the outside table is a lovely bonus!
