The basement is the most prominent, characterized by wooden ceilings and brick arches that rest on thick stone walls. Four rooms follow one another, allowing for privacy and special atmosphere. Outside, a large terrace - reserved only to customers - overlooking the Chiana Valley, providing a view and a unique landscape. Our corner restorative offers a genuine cuisine which uses fresh, seasonal local produce. You will find the flavors of the past, while enjoying traditional dishes, but you can also get carried into a new world of unique dishes that hardly served elsewhere, dancing in wild game, Chianina meat of the territory Certified and sauces "used to be". Instead, our corner Pub offers a varied choice of Sfizi and Sandwiches Hamburger Chianina - exclusively Chianina certified - The right environment to offer even the excellent beer from the German Plug, Belgian and English and healthy fun! Lets not forget our Bar area for the preparation of DRINK! Moreover, Osteria 33 began as Family activities aided by a totally young staff, which is aimed at an audience just as passionate about good food and good conviviality. For these reasons that the Osteria 33 do not pay even the covered, but each service will be offered for free.

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

Ate here twice in our weeks stay in Castiglion Fiorentino. Both meals were very good and the service from the staff was attentive.
Both meals were sensibly priced and the outdoor terrace has great views of the surrounding area

“delicious and accomodating”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

on our first meal, the resto was closed for a private function but we begged Simona to accomodate us bec we were tired and famished travellers. So we had our first tuscan lunch of pasta and roasted chicken and wine at past 3pm and she threw in a free cake for us 4! We had 3 more meals and i had Simona plan a special last night romantic dinner for 2. It was just that! With fresh flowers and a beautifully set table and a tuscan steak meal with a great salad, pasta, wine and dessert! I found a sorella in Simona and will remember this memorable experience in a long time. I've had a friend visit her and design a pasta making class and cooking a typical tuscan meal. She doesnt usually do this but she once again accomodated my request. They have a well stocked wine cellar too! On the whole, my husband and I and our 2 friends felt like home<3

“Let's go back to Da Giuda!”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

Traveling with an international group of fourteen to Castiglion Fiorentino, we eventually ate at most of the restaurants in town. Da Giuda was the place we ended up choosing again and again. The restaurant is easy to find - the castle town is small and nothing is too hard to spot anyway. The first thing you'll notice is the great terrace, overlooking the town and the soft tuscan landscape. Next the service, which is warm and charming. The young waiter is friendly and attentive enough to convince you that *all of Italy* is warm and charming. The wine was inexpensive and good, and he provided good guidance.

But the real hook is the food.

With so many people, sometimes coming all together but also in twos and threes throughout the week, we worked our way through most of the menu. The food was always prepared in a clean, traditional style, and with real care. My personal favorites were the pork ribs, the white beans with sage, and the swiss chard (in the photos below). (About the ribs - they are not sauced, just seasoned and cooked to perfection. There's something about the pork itself which shines through as I've never tasted anywhere else.) Others in our party raved - and returned compulsively - for gnudies, a spinach-and-ricotta dumpling served with red sauce. By the time we left town Gnudies at Da Giuda had become our watchword for delicious italian food.

This place is fabulous, worth a trip even if it's out of your way.

“Great value for great traditional Tuscan food”
Reviewed 12 January 2014

We are part-time residents of Castiglion Firorentino. The last two times we were there, we've dined in this restaurant. The decor is lovely, tasteful, and cozy. The owners/wait staff are a group of nice young people, working hard and always with a smile on their face. The food is excellent. I brought Italian relatives to Da Giuda, and they raved!
If you're in the area, this restaurant is a gem and is definitely worth a try. And prices are very reasonable.

“Good quality, excellent value”
Reviewed 11 January 2014

This is the fourth different restaurant on this site in the eight years we've lived in this town. The fundamental problem with the site is that it's hidden in a side street off the main street, hence you have to go and find it. In warmer months, there is a large outdoor terrace with a great view over the Val di Chiana.

This is the best of the site's four lives. Traditional Tuscan, lots of meat, specialising in roe deer and Cinta Sinese, a local pig breed loaded with flavour. Plenty of non-meat options amongst the pastas, though. Excellent cooking, very well plated, smart and friendly service. And good value. €55 for two including two half-litres of wine.

Best restaurant in the town.
