“The best modern house on the Island”
Reviewed 7 July 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Located on the rather flat northern end of the Island, but interesting surroundings, wonderful back window views to Hecla and Beinn Choradail (the biggest mountains), flowers everywhere, and huge beaches within easy walking distance. Close to South Uist's main road, too. The house was large, very well heated (important if the weather does its worst), and not expensive.

“Perfect location for a relaxing week.”

Excellent accommodation with all mod cons. Perfect base to explore- on foot and by bike. Would recommend a visit to Barra. Highlight was returning home on a cold windy day to the underfloor heating!

“A wonderful place to stay and explore from.”

The house has obviously been recently completely renovated by the owners, and was very warm and cozy for the whole of our stay, with everything a family would require.
We all slept really well in the very comfortable beds, and it was a lovely place to spend time inside even if the weather was a bit windy at times! Lovely views front and back, a friendly welcome and our son spent hours watching the sheep outside his bedroom window and the farm opposite.
The Coop, only 10 minutes away on Benbecula, was really well stocked (so you don't need to take anything with you) and the Hebridean Jewellery shop & cafe is only a short walk if in need of coffee and cake!
Would definitely recommend, and hope to return again soon.

“Ideal property and location”
Reviewed 25 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Located centrally for exploring the Uists from Eriskay to Berneray and convenient for local services (shops, cafes, restaurants, swimming pool etc). Despite the wintry weather in February, the cottage was lovely and warm with all the amenities a family of 5 would require. Nice to stay in a self catering that has been designed for that purpose - plenty of bathrooms, space, and kitchen utensils with good underfloor heating. The owners clearly care about the property and their customers and we'll hopefully be back.

“Brilliant”

Stayed for a week. Views from the windows are absolutely stunning - in good weather. House has all mod cons, very comfortable beds, huge kitchen with a full set of cooking utensils, plenty of crockery and glassware fit for entertaining guests. Two food shops are just a few minutes away by car and open long hours. Travelled the length of the Uists by car from Eriskay to Berneray. There is no shortage of places to go and things to do. The weather can be wet and windy but we had five good days and two stay-in and read days. WiFi access is via a fast satellite link - just as good as in London.

Nothing disappoints. This is home from home in a stunning location. This lovely house has everything. Flexible living accommodation, naturally light and spacious. Brilliant views. Great for socialising which we did. We had relatives to visit in Uist. also explored, didn't have enough time to visit many of the sites we wished to explore. We will return. Try and visit the nearby islands, we did Barra on a gorgeous day. Simoly breathtaking.
