The chalet was perfect for two people well equipped with everything you might need. There’s a Co op not too far away too. We loved South Uist though the weather was mixed. We did lots of walking and birdwatching. Would love to be there in bright sunny weather.
Fitted out to a top class standard, with fridge, freezer and washing machine and even large TVs in lounge and bedroom. Very comfortable for a couple. Nice outdoor Romeo and Juliet seating area, which is ideal for drinks and snacks. Lochboisdale harbour and hotel are a short walk with a small pedestrian causeway linking to a nearby cafe. Mountains and white sandy beaches are also close.
Friendly welcome and information available in the chalet. Nearby neighbours also very welcoming and helpful.
All in all a great stay.
We had a great week and loved coming 'home' to The Chalet; it was welcoming from the start and found everything we needed there.
For two people it was ideal. I liked the location and although on the edge of Lochboisdale; it has a rural feel to the place with the hills closeby and sand dune coast quite near.
A larger and a bit more comfortable sofa would have been the icing on the cake for us as we like our creature comforts more as we get older, but that's a small point to consider; come rain or shine it was a pleasure to be there and well priced too!
We spent a week in this lovely chalet and couldn't have asked for more! Such a warm cosy place to come back to after a day out in the beautiful islands. Excellent brand new accommodation throughout - fully equipped with everything you'll need.
Spectacular views of the mountains with walks from the door. The chalet is situated in a great place just a few minutes walk from the small harbour town of Lochboisdale, where there's a hotel/bar and cafe.
We had beautiful weather, stunning views and spotted amazing wildlife from the doorstep and all over this stunning island. I fully recommend staying there! Thanks so much guys!
Located just 5 minutes drive from lochboisdale ferry terminal, or about an hour from the lochmaddy ferry, this is a brand new detached chalet, with views over lochs and mountains, which is perfect for two.
It was spotlessly clean, cozy and warm, with all the kitchen facilities you might need, including a full size fridge freezer, electric oven, and washing machine.
The accommodation is very stylish and contemporary throughout, with a large screen tv, that provides the focal point in the main room, above the traditional log burner and surrounding fireplace.
The Chalet has been fitted out to a very high standard throughout, and we very much enjoyed our stay of 3 nights there.
We found it was a good base for exploring attractions such as the the Am Politician bar/restaurant on Eriskay, and the beautiful nature reserve at Balranald.
Kylie was on hand to meet and greet us, and was very kind and helpful, especially when we might have needed to stay an extra night, if our ferry had been cancelled!
We would love to return to south uist, and would stay here again without hesitation, and we can certainly highly recommend it.
