“Wings and Wine event held in conjunction with Stow Maries aerodrome.”
Review of New Hall Vineyards

We were made very welcome and had a very informative guide who explained the history and operation of the aerodrome. The museum and aeroplanes were very interesting and detailed. There is an equally fascinating wild life sanctuary there with owls nesting in several of the buildings. We were then given an excellent lunch before departing to the New Hall Vineyard where once again we had a comprehensive and fascinating tour with a very well informed guide and a delicious and fun wine tasting session. It was excellent value for money and we would highly recommend this combination of attractions. Thanks to all concerned for a fun and enjoyable day. We wish this venture every success in the future.

They held their first ever Christmas Party for our group on the 16th December 2016 and it was superb. We were greeted with a glass of fizz each, which was then generously topped up whilst we did a festive quiz. After that they produced a huge ploughman's lunch for each of us which was considerably more than adequate! After that we were taken on a tour of the winery and told what they intend to modernise next year - so much! and they have already changed and modernised the place beyond recognition. Then we got down to the serious stuff of wine tasting. Seven full wine glasses each and manager Lucy telling us all about each wine, which was brilliant. We were also given dry biscuits to cleanse the palette between each glass. To finish there were home made, warm mince pies. All in all arrived 11.30 and left around 4.00. Couldn't have asked for a better party. So good and have already (hopefully) booked next year!

This is a very interesting place to visit, they grow various types of grapes which give variety to their wines. They hold a very popular wine festival in September as well as other open days
through the year when you can purchase their wines on site, well worth a visit.
