“Koodalmanikyam - Irinjalakuda”
Reviewed 6 August 2013

Koodalmanikyam temple has got a lot of historic importance especially to Irinjalakuda town where it is located. The temple's main deity is Lord Baratha, one among the brothers of Lord Sri Rama. The temple is hence very important pilgrimage especially for south Indians to perform their Nalambalam (four temple) visit. During this Nalambalam visit devotees visit four temples of Sri Rama, Lakshmana, Sathrukna and Baratha one after the other.

Its worth noticing that these four temples follows a similar architecture in their construction and are well connected with roads. One can visit all four temples quiet easily in a days time. The Naalamblam visit is normally performed during the July-August period and can expect a larger crowd. Only Hindus are allowed to enter into the temple.

Temple is also well know for the 10 days fest during the month of May.

Irinjalakuda town has got some decent hotel facilities, where tourists can safely stay and visit the temple. Nearest city is Thrissur which is about 25km away and well connect by roads and public transportation.
