“A Childhood Treasure”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

A valuable place in my childhood memories. Those days there wasn't anything like going to visit this zoo. Me and my brothers were excited for each and every trip planned to this place.

Visited the zoo last time we went to Thrissur. It changed a lot. Lost it's charm? I believe this place needs to get some more attention.

It is still a perfect place to hang out...

“Zoo on the move”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

The Thrissur zoo and museum is on relocation to a better place.May be due to this it is not maintained well.Lion, tigers, bears, deer, hippos, monkeys and birds would make children happy. The glass cages with venomous snakes are very old and appears dangerous. The hall with boats of Maharajas is full of dust and garbage is dumped near it.Visitors have to remove their foot wears to enter the two museum buildings for unknown reasons, but the staff wear sandals.

“pathetic”
Reviewed 11 November 2013

Wildlife are suffering there.Space constraints are affecting animals very much.

Entry fee is 20/-(per head) for adults and 25/- for still camera.
Hope that the relocation of the wildlife to zoological park on 336 acres in Puthur village will happen soon....
