I stayed here as part of a group of cyclists completing The Way of the Roses. Four of us arrived soaked to the skin and cold. We took our shoes off in the porch to protect the carpets and did our best not to make a mess. Whilst the owner was pleasant and directed us to our rooms there were no attempts to offer beyond the minimum. The shower was feeble. There was no where to hang our wet clothes. Breakfast was ok'ish; we were greeted with a bowl of tinned fruit and then asked what we would like to drink - when I replied 'do you have any fruit juice?', I was sharply told 'no, you've had your fruit!'. Everything was adequate, nothing exceptional and some of it memorable for the wrong reasons.
