Grassington is a lovely little village, with god places to eat during the day and pubs and restaurants in the evening.
Several craft shops and a small but quality art gallery.
Tourist centre recommended many places to visit and activities for the whole of the Yorkshire Dales.

We did two wonderful hikes in Grassington based on advice from the friendly staff at the National Park Center. The first was a roughly 3-mile walk to Burnsall along the River Wharfe. This was possible the most relaxing walk we’ve done in England, including having our way across a little bridge occupied by a small lamb who was determined that it was his bridge. A pleasant pub lunch at the Red Lion was a highlight.

We came back for another great hike in the direction of Conistone through the farms and hills above Grassington. The rock ‘pavement’ was a treat.

Yes, it costs 20 P to use the facilities, but that seems to becoming the norm in England. Such a shame.

Kids would enjoy spending money here and drawing and doing the activities. Not very big but perfectly formed. If the car parking machines don't work you can pay at the centre. £4.50 for the day.
