Well I have just had a fabulous weekend at Grassington Lodge. It was a splendid experience from arrival to departure. The hostess with the mostess is Diane. She is welcoming thoughful and attentive whenever you see her. The booking was easy and its all the little touches I enjoyed. Fancy a sherry then just pop to the front room to get a complimentary glass if you want there are some smashing mints and chocs in a basket at reception. My favs to green ones so hands off when I next visit lol.
The breakfast was truely fab. A full Yorkshire is an experience and filled me ready for a full days walking. Dont think about it get booked now she will be full otherwise. Enjoy.

We stayed at the Grassington Lodge on a recommendation from a friend and it was even better than we expected. Diane is the perfect hostess and invited us to have a coffee as soon as we arrived. When we got back from a wander around the village, we indulged ourselves with a glass of sherry in the comfortable lounge in front of the log fire. Wonderful on such a cold day. We loved the little touches like the Molton Brown toiletries in the rooms, bathrobes and a pair of binoculars to study the lovely views. The breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. We ate at the Devonshire (a pub just a few minutes walk away) and that was excellent too. Have already decided to go back again later in the year. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed at the Grassingon Lodge in one of their annexe rooms for 3 nights and frankly we wish it coul have been a lot longer. Diane, the owner, was a wonderful hostess and the breakfasts her "likkle angels" served up were just wonderful. The room was large , very comfortable, had a huge bed and had all the facilities you would need. It was a struggle for Maggie and I to leave the room and see the countryside. The other residents staying were so friendly and had obviously all gone on friends recommendations. This has to be the best B& B in Yorkshire, if not the UK and we will definitely return . My husband and I stayed in the suite at Grassington Lodge for the Dickensian festival. We had a brilliant time staying at this accomodation and were well looked after by Diane.
Grassington Lodge is an upmarket , classy establishment, the suite was beautiful -spotlessly clean and luxurious with every need catered for. The bathroom is extremely spacious with Molton Brown toiletries and bath robes provided.
The full cooked Yorkshire breakfast was of excellent quality and huge, it saw us through most of the day!
Diane was very hospitable and provided mulled wine and sherry in the evening and tea, coffee and snacks during the day if you wanted a break from the Dickensian festivities.
The Dickensian event was also very good with a real sense of community spirit.
Overall a superb bed and breakfast, the best we have stayed in by far, well done Diane.

Having spent the 1st of our 3 nights in the Dales in a cottage that reeked of cooking fat and damp dog we were recommended to the Grassington Lodge B&B by one of the local hotels and what a find. We stayed in one of two rooms in an annexe across the courtyard from the main house.

The room we stayed in was just perfect. The furnishings are simple and modern. The whole room is light and airey and has plenty of space and storage. The bathroom had both bath and a superb shower. Everywhere was extremely clean. The amount of tea, coffee etc provided is enough for anyone, and the fresh milk in the mini fridge was very welcome. The bed was huge and really comfortable, and with the big fluffy duvet, you really didn't want to get out of bed in the morning.

The choice at breakfast was good, with cereals, fresh fruit salad, nuts and seeds, and of course the cooked English, which in itself would be a meal and a half if you choose all the items available. The quality of the cooked breakfast was excellent

There are some lovely touches, like the complimentary pre dinner sherry if wanted and the hand lotion in the bathroom. The free WIFI is great if you need to check anything, and the fridge in the room is a good idea as well.

Our final comment is about the staff we encountered while there. Everyone we met was really friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Diane is a fantastic hostess and makes sure you have all that you need. This was the first of hopefully many more stays at Grassington Lodge, and we would have no qualms in recommending it to everyone.

I nearly forgot to mention all this came for the fantastic price of £85.00 per night

This was our fifth visit; we've never been anywhere else twice. Stayed in the Suite which gets you a downstairs bathroom and upstairs lounge and large bathroom (mind your head upstairs, it's in the converted roof space).
We were staying with a friend for his 40th. Diane, the owner, arranged for us to have a private breakfast in the second lounge area on his birthday and for us to decorate the area with the usual baloons & banners at no extra charge.
We've also stayed in two other rooms, all fiinished with flat screens, DVD's and Molton Brown toiletries.
Breakfasts set you up for the day using local suppliers and upon return after your evening meal (four pub/restaurants 5 mins away) there are complimentary mints in the hall.
We would recommend this for anyone wanting modern comforts with rural Yorkhire hospitality and scenery immediately around you.

Excellent location one minute walk from the Main St, with a chice of 4 or 5 pubs for evening meal. Off -road parking. Spotlessly clean, welcomed with a tray of coffee in lounge, in front of log fire. Cosy and relaxing. Diane the owner is a first-class host, friendly yet very professional. The two young members of staff were very pleasant.
Breakfast was excellent, superb range of self-service fruit/cereal, followed by cooked meal beautifully presented. Free use of computer, separate TV lounge, or DVDs to take to your room. You cannot fault this place as an excellent, central place to stay for a relaxing few days in the Dales.
