This was our second stay at Puddicombe House. We liked it so much last time we went to the Stratford Festival two years ago, that we decided to stay here again. And this time being to celebrate our 25th anniversary, I had to take my wife somewhere special. I won't go into great detail in this review, as my last one still holds true (you can see it here: http://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowUserReviews-g735506-d1483421-r134662250-Puddicombe_House-New_Hamburg_Region_of_Waterloo_Ontario.html).

This time we stayed three nights in the showcase Puddicombe Room, which was very comfortable and very clean. Karen made full, delicious breakfasts. She will easily accommodate both vegetarians and meatatarians. We had one dinner there, which was fantastic. Karen and her staff are relaxed, but very attentive to the needs of their guests. I checked a number of other places in Stratford, and a comparable room would be about $100 a night more. With a great restaurant and spa on site, staying at Puddicombe House is well worth the short and scenic drive to Stratford.

Thanks Karen and staff for your hospitality during our special celebration!

Five couples just spent Saturday evening at this wonderful B&B. Nick the manager was a great help in organizing our outing. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and extremely clean. Our food was too notch. We were fortunate to have perfect weather and therefore were able to enjoy the great verandah setting and the cozy fire pit area. Would highly recommend a visit.

We recently stayed at the Inn for several nights while celebrating our sons wedding at a nearby venue. The Cressman family did everything they could to make us feel at home and had accommodated a last minute hair appointment. Our family booked all six rooms the night of the wedding and we were all very pleased with the rooms, the quality of the mattresses, not to mention the delicious breakfast and the bottomless cups of coffee. Only one item was noted and that was there were not enough glasses for overnight guests. We were urged to call the after hours telephone should we need anything, but we decided not to bother as we felt that this was not detrimental to our stay. We enjoyed the experience very much and would gladly stay again

Room Tip: All rooms have king beds with the exception of the stock room. It has a queen size bed. The puddicom...

We had dinner at the Puddicombe House and all I can say is "wow" - We had a fabulous dinner. Why is this restaurant not better known? Great ambience, attentive service, and delicious food. Great attention to detail - my glass of red wine was served at precisely the right temperature. The scallops melted in my mouth. I will certainly be recommending this restaurant to friends and colleagues and I look forward to my next dinner there very soon.

We discovered this place by chance and we are glad we did. Returned within two days for round number two. Nice comfy atmosphere, attentive staff and excellent food. We love to dine out and are pretty picky and I must say the attention to detail is here. Food is yummy. We went higher end on the first visit and then more casual with a burger for the second visit and left planning to come back again - soon!!

Stopped in to grab a bite to eat on our way to MOPARFEST. Menu was very limited but excellent. We were so incredibly impressed with the beautifully presented food. The burgers were so moist and flavourful. Absolutely worth the drive from anywhere. We live 10 minutes away but it seems like an escape back in time. Service was impeccable. Delivery was flawlessly executed. Very very impressed. My new favourite restaurant!!!

We wanted to spend a weekend away, not too far from home in Etobicoke and we landed on Puddicombe House. It is a gem. Its more than a bed and breakfast. The room we stayed in was wonderful. The House has a tremendous verandah for late afternoon drinks (the owner we were told is a mixologist of repute but we never tested his skills). The restaurant was attractive and the breakfast was very good - frittata for our visit. They are close to a number of other attractions and restaurants and although we did not eat dinner there, we will the next time we visit.
